**IMPORTANT NOTE** Thanks to @OG_pRotality for the tip on the Maxwell. The XBox version does work on PS5, but you have to have the donlge in PC mode and you have to use the USB-A to USB-C adapter to go into one of the rear ports only. Wild, but it works. For those asking about a DAC/Amp - I'm currently working on a video about just that, but in the meantime, I use an ifi Zen Dav v2 as my daily on my gaming desk. It will run 90% of the headphones you'll encounter, has a low power mode for IEMs, and has a really quality bass boost dsp button for headphones you may find lacking. I'll link it in the description if you're able to snag one cheap for the holiday sales.

Happy to know that you had a collab with Joe. I watch both of your videos and that’s what made me decided on the Maxwell. No regrets so far. I also daily drive Sony XM4 but as soon as the AirPods Pro 2 came up, I got that and that has been my daily driver. XM4 eartips wasn’t a perfect fit, after a while, it hurts one of my ear and also had issue with the battery. Pro 2 has been rock solid so far and it’s a good all rounder for a iPhone and iPad user like myself

Something that never gets talked about when it comes to earbuds, and the deciding factor for me when I went with the Sony WF-1000XM5s, is multi-point connection. I can be gaming on my PC at 6:00am and seamlessly grab my phone and start streaming music for my morning walk without touching a single setting or removing the earbuds.

Do you find any issues with latency when gaming on pc with them? I’ve never been a big fan of using bluetooth audio for gaming.

I don't do a lot of FPS, so it isn't much of an issue, and I only use the earbuds when it's late in the evening or early in the morning. Even if I'm just browsing online, it's nice being able to switch from the PC to the iPhone and back again seamlessly. @@badseedtech

Ultrasone bass has always had a special place for me. I still treasure my Ultrasone Pro 2900 and its amount of bass for an open back. I'd still be using them if the foam hadn't completely deteriorated.

560s is my go to for everything, pc38x and tygr 300r are both good and still in use at work but the 560s is my daily driver for music and gaming.

How is the transparent mode on the Sony XM5s? I don't even have an iPhone, but I got the Airport Pros 2 just because I immediately loved the transparency mode on them when I first heard it. Its so good. NC and Sound quality can be compared, but the transparent mode is on a whole other level

Hey badseed! Another great video. Debating on pulling the trigger for the Maxwells. I have been on the Sennheiser hd800s (tuned for some extra bass). I would love to have a wireless pair of cans for gaming, are Maxwells going to pale by comparison to the hd800s? I mean I know the answer is obviously, but is the difference massive? Or is it worth it for wireless even if you have a high end pair like the hd800s?

I got my Audeze Maxwell at launch. Only because my Penrose broke at the swivel. The Audeze local agent gave me a trade up.... return the broken headset in exchange for the Maxwell @ a discounted price. I took the deal and have not regretted it. Unfortunately, just before I took the Maxwell, I bought an EPOS H3Pro Hybrid LOL. Now I'm stuck with 2 rather high end headset, and because the Maxwell is so good, the EPOS has just been sitting there unused

Hey Badseedtech, you should try buying foam tips for your airpod pro gen 2. I've been daily driving them with foam tip for a year now and it's soo much better then the silicon tip, it seals better and it fits better, I can wear them to the gym even on my cardio day. Only downside is you need to be careful when you put them back in the case as they sometimes are not making contacts with the charging pins so you need to fiddle with them a bit.

Soundcore liberty 4 for ear buds my god they are solid. Been using for over a year and just wow not one single issue phone calls are great Siri works great and not to mention they are sexy. The case is cool as well. Eq can really really make them shine.

I think at it's current price (140€) the AKG 702 is the best option for gaming. You get a reference neutral HiFi and confortable headphone. (Of course if you don't have to worry about your surroundings because it's an open headphone).

The kiwi ears cadenza are the absolute best budget iems. Ive tried pretty much all of them. The cadenzas compete with $2-300 iems easily. I prefer them over the orchestra lites.

active noise cancelling in any gaming or audiophile product or a product that will be used for gaming is a huge mistake. acn works by listening for sound and then subtracting that sound and frequencies from what you’re listening to, which can directly translate to removing footsteps frequencies or most mid based frequencies depending on how noisey the room is. just get decent iems with eartips that fit you and you will get the proper isolation and won’t need acn. ditch the gimmick and save yourself the upcharge that acn brings.

What Schiit DAC/Amp would be good around the $400-600 range that allows me to connect a microphone? I looked at the Schiit Hel but heard it is lacking in sound quality even though it has a mic input. The main reason I would be interested in upgrading to IEMs is so I can use them on the go with my phone. How long have you had the Signature X for? A lot of reviews on Drop saying how the hinges have broken rendering them unwearable - even after apparent normal desktop usage. This is my only concern and have stopped me from purchasing them over the similarly priced and similar sound signature Meze 99 Noir/Classic.

Im absolutely in love with my Razer Kraken Ultimate Model:RZ04-03180100-R3U1, But they seem to be discontinued T.T I tried the RAZER KRAKEN V3 HYPERSENSE and the ears seem smaller and cheaper, I really like the haptic but the Vocal Clarity for Music Singers is significantly quieter when compared to the Kraken Ultimate. I have tried HS60 Haptics from Corsair and they are better than the Kraken V3 but im still running into the Vocal Clarity Issue when listening to music with alot of singing over rock/bass music. Is the Haptic the problem? or has Razer just gone downhill with all the V3? Should I upgrade to Audiophile Headphones? Razer is about to lose a lifetime customer if I can't find a replacement for the Kraken Ultimate.

Its definitely not the top mic as I explained. As for the other issues you stated, first I'm hearing. I have two units - one direct from Audeze and one at retail and I haven't experienced any of that. I use one at home and one in the studio and they've both been solid.

Sorry just meant mic as in headset, but ya I really wanna get this headset but when looking it the top two things you find are it’s the best 2023 gaming headset and that a lot come broken or break quick. I’m wondering if it’s just because it’s so popular, but I did find they made a statement about the headband but not the ear cups

Hi, can you tell me which Audeze Maxwell variant I should go for? It says Playstation/Xbox, but I need it for PC, are both compatible with PC? Also Playstation one is bit cheaper than Xbox one for some reason. Thank you in Advance

I got the signature X headphones because of this video, but when finally got around to use them I didn't get the bass I thought I would be getting. Is this because I need a dac/amp to run them? Or I'm I doing something wrong? I due use Spotify so is that it?

Still debating if I should try the maxwells. I've gone from the Sennheiser 6XX to the Sundara, now to Sennheiser HD8XX over the last few years. 90% for gaming 10% for music. Can't decide if the Maxwell is worth a shot as id love a wireless pair. I often game in a comfy chair on a TV connected to my office PC. I've been using the HD8XX with a long cable. If these sound 85 or 90% as good as high end wired cans it'd be worth it to me. Thoughts @badseed?

Maxwell is an easy recommend. I can promise you won’t find a wireless set that sounds better. If you pickup a Maxwell and it doesn’t do it for you, you’ll know you don’t need to explore into wireless anymore for the time being.
