So glad I came across this short to the point boat and tow sports review and education channel. I am new to the wake boarding and looking into buying Malibu boat. I loved your comparison Super Air Nautique g23 vs Malibu 23 LSV. With your knowledge, could you please give key/most valuable/important differences between 23 MXZ vs 23 LSV for Malibu? Can't wait to watch your boat handling and wakeboarding/wake surfing videos. Lots of useful info. THANK YOU for your videos.

Thanks for braving the cold and reviewing the 23 MXZ! You mentioned the pull up pylon. Looking at the MXZ line online, it seems the pylon is limited to just the 23 MXZ, but it omits the bow ladder. The 22 and 24 MXZs have bow ladders but no pylon. Is that correct? Quirky little differences in the same series. That surf wave looks amazing. Your second set! Wow - looked very long with good push. Love your channel. Always helpful.

You are exactly right on the ladder and the pylon. I wouldn't be surprised if they add the pylon to the 22 and the 24 MXZ when they next redesign. It's a good addition!

Sweet review Chantel! I’m always looking forward to your videos! We do the same on the water / air temp adding up to 100... I do have a question... I noticed when you were showing the warming tray that the bags were plumbed to vent out the air (rather than having to open the valve to vent the air). I am going to set this up similarly on my 23LSV... Is that a one way valve along about the middle of the Vent tube? Maybe to keep air from going back into the bag while emptying the ballast water???? Any other thoughts/suggestions to set this up? Thanks!!!

What year LSV do you have? Yes, on the valve - have you checked out the kit that Wakemakers sells? It's only $100 for the pair. Sooooo much nicer than having to open and close the vent!

Hey, Chantel, love your videos; they are so helpful. I just picked up an Axis last year with the Power Wedge and just started learning to surf last Fall. Can you give a little more info about the different PW settings and how they change the characteristics of the wake. I'm 55, 5'8", and 180 pounds; a total novice; I ride regular. I've been experimenting with a few boards. My Liquid Force seems too fast and I keep running right up onto the swim platform. My one buddy has a Ronix, and another has a CWB, both of which seem more docile and controllable than my LF Rocket that the boat salesman suggested. I'm installing a bow bag this year to keep the nose down, but thus far we have been just filling all the ballast (hard tanks and bags) totally full and the PW at 4 or 5. I heard you mention something about a lift mode in another video, and mentioned different settings for the PW in this video, but I'm not sure I understand. Any ideas for "starter" settings and what changes I may want to try first to fine tune the wake? (Do I understand lower PW # means longer wave and higher means a steeper wave? Lower#/longer wave means less push? What are the advantages for one over the other?) Thanks!

Hi Doug! You are correct about the lower number meaning longer wave and less push. If you have too much push right now, I would definitely tone down the Wedge to a 2 or maybe 3. That will lengthen it out and make it way easier to ride as you get more comfortable. You may also want to adjust where your feet are on the board. If you are too far forward, no matter what the wake is like you will be shooting towards the swim platform! Lift mode is great if you are teaching littles because it gives you negative 500lbs of ballast so you don't have to drain anything to really tame the wake. You will absolutely want the bow bag. That will make it so the bow rides lower and lengthens out the wake a bit even when using the Wedge on a 4. I rarely use the Wedge on 5 or 6. It can wash out the wake and make it less awesome.

What was the other riders board and his weight? I’ve been trying to find a board that will offer me better buoyancy and allow me to be in the pocket longer. Thanks!

He's about 220 and was on the Hyperlite Shim. Another good one is the Ronix Powertail - tons of push because of how wide it is in the back -www.activewake.com/shop/brands/ronix-wakeboards/wakesurf-ronix/ronix-2020-powertail-wakesurf-board/

Hey! I’m looking at the ronix vest you have on. What’s your thoughts on it? I don’t have the option to see it or try it on in person. Is it thinner than other cga vest since it’s longer? More comfortable? Just curious since it’s pretty pricy compared to Others.
@ChantelBoats4 жыл бұрын
Hi! I LOVE this vest. It’s not necessarily thinner than other CGAs, but because it’s longer and has more seams throughout, it is definitely more comfortable!

@@ChantelBoats That was better than timely. Thanks, we are looking at ordering a light graphite/white, on my monitor could not tell for sure what this is. Planning on the Septa deck for a little color. BTW as others have said you do an excellent job on the walk thru videos. Lots of good well connected information. Thanks for taking the time.

Hey great video! How is engine noise at surf speeds, and fuel mileage? Do you think the average person needs to add the plug and play?
@ChantelBoats4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! It was actually super quiet while we were surfing. Malibu says this engine is more fuel efficient than past options, but we weren't really out there long enough for me to say for sure. I would always recommend at least plumbing for the plug n play bags (that is more expensive to do later on than it would be to have it done at the factory). That way you could start without the bags and just pop them in if you decide you want them. If you always have a big crew, probably not necessary. If you only ever go with 3 or 4, you'd most likely want them.
