Normally I love shitting on youtube videos and channels, especially smaller ones, but you have some of the most informative, in-depth and useful content and videos I've ever seen. I'm just curious - are you just doing this for fun, or do you have any goals in mind? ( Get picked up by a boat marketing department / start your own vLog / etc ) Based on your access to so many different boats, maybe you should consider creating a "chantelscore" similar to how Doug Demuro has a "dougscore" for cars he reviews on youtube. Either way - keep up the awesome job!

Hips much put the door for this boat?

Chantel, great review. I really enjoy all your videos. Question - how does the Craz compare to the Kaiyen or Makai for surfing (probably too early with the 21 Mojo)? I really like the traditional hull and more potential versatility with the Craz, but concerned about buying this model with all the hulls becoming wide and deep. Can the Craz hold its own?
@ChantelBoats4 жыл бұрын
I like the Kaiyen and Makai wake better than the Craz. You may want to check out the new Mojo! It has a more traditional feel, but they just redesigned it, so the wake should be killer (we haven't gotten one in yet)
@craigcostantino20334 жыл бұрын
I love the new Mojo, just too much boat for my needs. Appreciate your response and insights.

How would the wake compare to a Axis T22?
@ChantelBoats3 жыл бұрын
The Craz can make a great wake as long as you have enough weight in it. Straight out of the box, or with a smaller crew, the T22 is much easier to get a good wake out of.

Where would I store skis?
@ChantelBoats4 жыл бұрын
There isn't really a great spot on this boat for ski storage. I would probably get a ski rack and have a service shop install it on the tower.

Could you do a video on the 2020 Malibu VTX20
@ChantelBoats5 жыл бұрын
Our first 2020 VTX was sold before it got here, so no time for a walk through, but we'll try to get one with the next one in!

@@ChantelBoats I know this video was posted some time ago and I have no idea if you will see this comment.... If possible, could you do a walk through and video sport test on the 2021 Malibu VTX with the forward slalom tower. I am particularly interested as a skier. The rest of the family is into wakeboarding and surfing (which is fine...) but I don't want to give up my slalom sets for anything. Is it possible to see slalom testing at 30, 32, and 34 mph? I know its a bit to ask, but the info would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Which would you recommend overall between the Craz and T22? Sorry for all the questions
@ChantelBoats3 жыл бұрын
No worries! If wake is the most important thing, I would go T22. If comfort and rough water ride are more important, I'd lean Craz. You'd be getting a GREAT boat either way!

Awesome video! I am about to buy a new boat. Going back and forth between the Craz and the ATX 22. Do you have any experience in the ATX by Tige? If so, how do you think the ATX and the Craz compare to each other?
@ChantelBoats4 жыл бұрын
ATX is pretty new, so I don't know a ton about them. When they first came out, they were offered to our dealership, but we didn't want to bring them in. For how close the are in pricing, you get a lot more for your money with Moomba. I would go Moomba over that ATX any day.

Hi me and my family just recently bought a 2019 moomba craz and was just wondering what surf settings you had on the tabs and wake plate system?
@ChantelBoats5 жыл бұрын
Hi! Congrats on the new boat! For the shots in the video, we had full ballast and about 8 people in the boat (kids and adults). We had the surf tab at about 90 and changed the center wake plate depending on who was surfing - for me, it was at 50 (though with less people in the boat I liked 0), for the two younger gals it was at 100, and for the guys it was at 0. What settings have you been using?
@quinncallahan37825 жыл бұрын
Chantel Herbert, we have been running 100% in the rear two and about 70-75% in the front depending on how many people are on the boat and the tabs we usually run 25 on the wake plate then 75 on the tabs
@4liter5 жыл бұрын
I would dial the surf plate back. I did the factory tour and have been on Norris with some of the Moomba engineers/corporate folks and with a lot of tab engagement, it'll actually start to lift the boat of the water too much, cancelling out some of the ballast which serves to weight the boat down/keep it low in the water. We typically use autowake, but my manual settings out similar. 100% surf side, around 65% up front (or more if you want wave longer), and around 60% on the non-surf side. Surf tab for regular is at 50 and wakeplate is at 5-10. I use the wakeplate to clean the wave up, but rarely go over 20 as it takes away some of the steepness of the wave.
@ChantelBoats5 жыл бұрын
Interesting! I didn't like the way the boat handled when we had less weight on the opposite side, so we just had people over on the surf side, but that is good info about the tabs! I will definitely play around with that a little more. Once we had a good, clean wake, we just stopped messing with it, ha ha! Thanks for the post!

I know this boat was made to surf and I’m sure it puts out a decent wakeboard wake but how is it at ski speeds? Not too many vdrive traditional bow boats in the entry level segment so I was just wondering.
@ChantelBoats5 жыл бұрын
This is probably the closest to a crossover that you'll find in the category, but if I was picking a v drive to buy for skiing, it probably wouldn't be this one. If you ski only every once in a while and not super aggressively, it'll be okay, but I really like the 21VLX (Malibu) in a diamond hull as a crossover - not necessarily entry-level, but it really isn't that much more expensive than the entry level brands.

What do you think of the supreme zs 232?
@ChantelBoats4 жыл бұрын
I haven't spent time in a ZS 232, but the Supreme's I have been in aren't my favorite. I definitely lean Axis or Moomba in the value segment.
@SupremeSurfers4 жыл бұрын
Chantel Herbert Okay but any specific reason?
@ChantelBoats4 жыл бұрын
@@SupremeSurfers I really love the performance and wake of an Axis. The comfort of the Moomba can't be beat. The Supreme's I have been in/sold used feel a bit awkward and uncomfortable to me and the wake is more finicky. We all have our preferences - clearly, SupremeSurfers! ;) - and mine are Axis and Moomba.

How does this boat run in rough water compared to Nautique and Malibu? Good for an occasional Powell storm?
@ChantelBoats4 жыл бұрын
Definitely. It is super solid and handled the main channel really well. That's one of the things I was most impressed with - nothing rattled or moved.
