Hi, good question, I would guess that there is an adjustment on the software to the speedometer, but I am going to Ford in a month or so for training, so will ask your technical question then. Please like and subscribe 👍🏻

Looks nice, I saw a video of a Toyota HiAce being converted to an overlander on the 4xOverland channel from Andrew. Wonder if one can do the same with this vehicle.

Hey Ross, Do you not have a Ford Tourneo Titanium X to make a long video? No one on KZbin makes a video with such good equipment. I would like to see the 360° camera, the electric doors, the camera-based rearview mirror, etc. Would you be so kind as to make such a video?
@VanManRoss2 ай бұрын
Hey Zeynel thanks for reaching out. At the moment I don’t have one of them, just access to the black Titanium. But as soon as I get a X on site I will do a detailed video 👍🏻🫡

Hi Ross, question about 19inch rims. I have never come across anything like this before, but the overall diameter of its 235/50r19 tyre is 28mm more than that of 215/60r17 tyre of Tourneo's 17inch option. This means 14mm (or 4%÷ radius) difference. This is beyond what is legally allowed. How is this handled, should there be a softwhere correction to Speedometer? Or, do they come with different final drive ratios? If not, do we just conclude that the car will be 4% slower on the 19"? Compared to 215/65r16 wheel of new Transit Custom van, this difference goes up to 16.5mm in radius or 5%.

Did you have chance to compare noise and gasoline consumption between 17 and 19 inches?
@VanManRoss3 ай бұрын
I’m driving the van with upgraded alloys at the moment and the noise difference is minimal, the larger wheels certainly look sportier ⚡️ Please like and subscribe 👍🏻

What is the consumption at 140 km/h? Is it 170 horsepower? @@VanManRoss

We have just taken delivery of a brand new long wheel base custom at work and the panel fit and overall build quality is shocking. There are dents under all the door handles where the pressings are poor and the sides ot the van are rippled all the way down. The quality is no where near that of the 2 year old custom it has replaced. Seems to me that manufacturers are concentrating too much on the big fancy screens and overlooking the things that really matter. But then again it seems to be what appeals younger people!!!

If you have issues with the van might be worth getting it checked out by your local dealer/ Ford body shop, and see if they can be rectified under warranty 👍🏻

noticed from US channels that ford in general has QC problems.

Tried 170hp, Titanium, 4x4 2.O Diesel. Noisy and horribly underpowered. Noise from engine, air, wheels ... Underpowered - getting from 80km/h to 130km/h on flat highway was soooo loong and even longer to somewhat get to 140km/h which I thought it will not make it. From a little down hill (consider rather flat) I was able to make 150km and after like a Jumbo on the runway I achieved 160km/h. The engine was going hype up to 4000 rpm and same if you want sharper start from zero to 50km/h. It is noisy even if you do not hurry and easy on gas. I won't buy it as much as I was going to when looking at all these reviews. Just for these Otherwise I would not mind to switch from my big SUV - it is comfy to seat and drive, it is not bumping in the back, over the bumps and stones it goes well (just noisy), it behaves like a normal car and I got used to it within less than 15 min. More power less noise and I would go for it immediately.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts, I have never had any negative feedback on the 170 PS model from customers so that is very interesting. Also in the UK we are yet to receive our all-wheel-drive transit custom, so very much looking forward to test driving these when they arrive 😁

Not at all, we have all been very impressed with the quality of the new van, plus it’s the only van to achieve commercial vehicle platinum NCAP rating 😀
