I much prefer the looks of my 2015 Swift. Okay the sound deadening will be better on this new one, but hybrid is an unnecessary complication. And why the Austin Allegro steering wheel on a city super mini hatchback?! A right pain when doing a three point turn. Strange too how tptb want to keep us safe in our cars, but want to use a "remedy" on us that's not as advertised, experimental and without informed consent🤔 Strange days indeed!

I think it looks much better than the current model, especially from the side and rear. Front of current model is more muscular, but this new one has a cute Kei-car style. Overall the look is more modern and cleaner The width is not mentioned, but other sources say its 40mm narrower: 1695mm instead of 1735mm. For me that's a big plus for city and narrow lanes driving. The graphics show a four-cylinder engine, but the new engine is only three-cylinder I'm afraid.

As for the width, the body panels are different between the Japanese and European versions. 1695mm is the Japanese version. The European version is definitely 1735mm. The shape of the front bumper is also cleaner and simpler for the European version.

@@panchert5732 Thanks, I didn't know. The Japan spec models have (to my mind) ugly chrome inserts on the front, while UK/Europe version looks much better. Some Japan spec cars also have front parking sensors and an electronic handbrake, but I've not seen these on the previews of the cars heading this way.

I have the current model SZ5 Mild Hybrid with 1.0L 3 cyl Boosterjet Engine which has 109bhp. Got to say very underwhelmed by the new model, it just looks lie a facelift of my car. Slightly different at the front, and the tail lamps slightly different as well. Interior is almost identical apart from the larger infotainment screen. Overall the car is not that much different. The main disappointment is the engine only delivering about 90bhp, don't get me wrong I love my Swift, but to release a new model almost identical with a lesser powered engine is a backwards step by Suzuki.

The new 3 cyl 1.2 replaces the 4 cyl 1.2, which had even less power. The 1.0 Boosterjet was a great engine, but Suzuki killed it off in the UK for emissions reasons. Hopefully the yet to be announced Sport will be a little more exciting.

Can we all agree that Suzuki is not improving the Swift enough and is scared it will lose the price war? No ADAS. Piona Black even uses it as a selling feature. It's a demerit, not a merit, guys. A 9-inch touchscreen is considered featureful. Engine specs, build quality - 🤷 Questionable.

Maruti Suzuki taught us about fuel efficient, 'Zero NVH' No fuss Badhiya Engines, Unfortunately, you gave very less importance!! This is the first time, Suzuki is coming with three cylinder engine, for Swift!! It will affect its NVH, if not it's power too!!Fuel efficiency, you measure in Gallons!! 64.5 mpg to be precise!! As per it's own standards, Maruti Suzuki would present a noisy, but efficient engine? And how come Britain, have left hand drive cars, & drive on the 'wrong side of the road'? one of the WORST CARS ever made, i mean look at that TIN CAN, no safety at all, just brings you death than nothing, Suzuki always making money out of it putting peoples life at stake, people unfortunately doesnt have any choice earlier otherwise this is a crap, these guys at suzuki are the worst engineers to be frank, i doubt if they have any worthy one actually, They take a decade to put a change for suppose ventilated seats(its still not there anyway), Safety etc, India is the country which brought alot of these cars and a lot of people died in it, its basically a driving coffin. I dont know how these guys sell in other countries but these are just crushable TIN CANs in india, I have no respect for these cars. I wish they improve atleast in this decade. I dont have to prove it, just search suzuki swift accidents in india on youtube and you see for yourself.
