I was initially in the market for a BMW X3, but after checking out the 2025 model, I decided to go with the BMW X5 xDrive40i instead. I absolutely love this car! For just an additional $10k, I got the Sports Plus package and several other fantastic features. It was definitely worth the upgrade

I hate the interior, it’s all plastics. Really downgrade the x3. I owned a 2020 x3 m40i. That thing was a really nice ride with great interior.

You are right . The new m50 suspension is super soft and agile . Much better than the current m40 . But that’s about it . I test drove the new model . It’s awful interior . Everything you touch is plastic. Bunch of cost cutting. I cannot fathom spending 75k on this car which has a 30k car interior . Does not feel like a bmw inside

Great video. You and Trish are great. BMW is no-longer great, and it makes me sad. I hope they will fire their design team before my X5 wears out. I won't replace it with one of the current designs. The interior is embarrassing.

Totally agree. From the profile this car could be from several different different Asian manufacturers, and maybe even a domestic one. I don’t think it’s ugly; it’s just kinda bland.

The design of the doors and feedback piece that looks loose is horrible! Why not real buttons? Plastic door handles really? Cut cost everywhere, totally disappointing.

You make great videos but this new x3 is not as good as the previous model, I have a 2022 msport x drive 3.0, what caused me to loose interest in the new model, no sun roof that doesn't open that's a 100%deal killer, iended up buyinga 2024 i4 edrive 40 living in Florida I love opening the sun roof and feeling the sun a breeze

I had a 2018 x3 and was ready to get the 2025 model . I immediately bought the 2024 x3 instead ! The 2025 interior is horrible!! Looks cheap ! and the exterior looks plain and boring! My 24 is beautiful. Sad to see what they've e done. smh

I immediately fell in love with the third generation x3 when it was released bur just don’t like this new gen. I had to see it in person after watching several youtube vids to see if it was worthy of trading in my 2022. Nope! Too much plastic interior that made it feel more like my mom’s new Kia. Hard pass!

Thanks for the video review. Nice looking crossover. I actually prefer the exterior of the xDrive30 over the M50, particularly on the front fascia. It looks great in the Dune Grey. The interior does have a lot of hard plastic, but you can option up to the textile finish dashboard, which would help a bit.

I currently have one on rent in South Florida. It drives very well and it’s roomy. However… there is waaaay too much background lighting in it due to the light bars everywhere, and two giant wide screens. The infotainment and dash controls are incredibly difficult to figure out and most are buried in random menus. It feels like actual quality was substituted out for tech and perceived quality, without much thought being applied. Controls are randomly placed, not intuitive at all. The dash readouts aren’t very customizable. The HUD is oddly set off to the left from the seat. The native GPS is terrible in graphics. Just poor execution all around. However, the sets are comfy, the steering and handling are fantastic and the power is sufficient.

You forgot to mention one important thing how cheap this interior is with scratchy plastic everywhere. I was surprised when I test drove this . Everything you touch is plastic. Technology is nice but you cannot make a bmw interior feel like a Kia . Knee rest ,door tops, dash , lower dash , door handles , buttons. C pillar everything is hard hard plastic. Rear seats don’t recline . There is tons and tons of cost cutting in this new model compared to the current one

@@realityhurts8090 not really if you load it go compare the c pillar it’s leatherette as standard now it’s plastic. Dash and door tops you can get leatherette as a option. Now it’s plastic or cloth . Best example is buttons and door handles they are aluminum in previous model the new one is just hard plastic that’s worst than a rav4 buttons. Go touch the knee rest it’s soft plastic now it’s scratchy plastic. Go touch the lower dash its rubberized soft you material now it’s from a garbage recycling factory . Unless you drive bmws from long time and currently own a LCi you won’t see the difference. Even they had to make the side bolsters for the front seats cloth . That’s how digusting bmw went to save dimes and nickels on the new model . Technology is nice but you can’t demand luxury car price for a Kia interior

@ by the way guess what you already know this front seat head rests are plastic and front seat side bolsters are cloth . Probably saved 10$ for them . The tiny things like there is no illumination in the centre armrest storage. They probably saved a $1 for that light bulb in the center storage . It can’t get any worse when a luxury car manufacturer saves a $1 for removing light in center storage. My 22 x3 has it and I bet yours have it too long with a usb c charge port there

The new X3 is disappointing. I don’t need the size of the X5 but I may need to revisit it. I wonder if BMW is purposely making the design of the X3 bland so we spend more on an X5. I’ve enjoyed my X3 but it’s really lost the classic BMW vibe.

The key fobs are not useful anymore. It comes with card key and work great with Apple wallet key pass. I carried card key for first a few days just in case but now I only carry my iphone. exterior looks great in person than any video on youtube, interior design is neat which I like it a lot, material looks a bit cheaper compared to previous X3 but I’m eco person, I can deal with it. someone or some company needs do same thing for our planet. Overall much better than stupid luxury looking interior Mercedes GLC.

I still carry my key fob just incase I lose my phone. You should always carry a backup. I can use my Apple watch to unlock the car but not to start it.

Base model still costs in 60k+$ range and its insulting what they have done comparing it to last gen. X1 looks alright, and X5 LCI is beautiful (even tho the headlights are a bit of a questionable decision), but I cant put my mind on it why they decided to go this way for X3 :(.
