Coincidentally I ordered a pair of safetec from Amazon a day before you released your review. I got 8 oz. I love them. For me closing my fist at the point of impact is most important and to develop this technic I train with leather garden gloves which also let you know when your fist lands properly, but they can be hard on the hands. The safetec solved this problem because they really allow this but with some padding. I don’t kill the heavy bag with them because I think of them more as technical gloves. Too often people judge gloves under false premise. These are excellent when used for the right purpose. Haven’t done any mitt work yet.
@philberg76804 жыл бұрын
@@ThatBoxingGuy The garden glove thing is old school (a forgotten art) I don't recall from whom or where I learned it. I found gloves tend to hide technical errors. I actually go bare knuckle on the double end bag. (not a tough guy thing I just find it gives me honest feedback on my technic). Beside my new Safetecs I have only used winning 10 oz fight gloves. I elaborated on this in a reply to one of your subscribers on this board. BTW great channel! I like Fit2box too, but it would nice if in addition to his 10/9 rating system he talked in more detail about compartment feel and impact feel (which I know is subjective to an extent).

They last a good while. I've had a pair for probably about 1 1/4 years, and they still hold up fantastic. They feel almost just like the regular pro fight gloves, but are much more durable. I have a pair for bag work and mitts, and a pair for Fights.

@@ThatBoxingGuy Thanks for replying. Funny thing! I bought a pair that look similarly. 95% sure its with foam inside, no indication as well; I bought them from Paris and I also saw one russian youtube chanel reviewing them again this version again mentioned it was a foam glove. It seems to me that the classic safetechs have also a bit of a different shape. Even further the parisian shop were official suppliers of reyes goods and they also had the classic training glove in velcro. With sizes like S, M and L instead of OZ smaller wrist a bit different overall. It seems they make different goods for different markets. Im satisfied, its just weird. Thanks again for replying :)

Patrick - I have 10 oz winning fight gloves and just got the cleto safetec in 8 oz. The winning are extremely comfortable when hitting anything. It’s amazing how the padding is so soft but they don’t bottom out. The winning padding feels softer than the safetec, but my safetec are not broken in yet. That being said I really like the safetec. If you get safetec I would go with the 10 oz if your over 160lb or are a heavy hitter. The 8 oz are very compact gloves. Hope this helps.
