All NEW Folio design! Inspired by Shannon’s folio class! PART ONE

Just when you think that Maymay could not show us another fabulous folio....
Maymay takes a folio design from a recent class taught by Shannon and puts her own twist on it...
So gather up those supplies and let's create!!!
~~ Measurements~~
Base: cut (1) piece of cardstock to 8 1/2" x 11" on the 11" side score at 2 1/4" ~ 3 1/4" ~ 9 3/4" and 10 1/2"
Bottom Flap: cut (1) piece of cardstock to 9 1/2" x 8 1/4" and on the 9 1/2" side score at 9" and then flip the pieces and score again at 9" ... then you will rotate to the 8 1/4" side and score at 6"
Center Pocket: cut (1) piece of cardstock to 9" x 2 3/4" you will score on the 9" side at 8 1/2" then flip the piece and score at 8 1/2" You are scoring 1/2" on the ends. Now turn to the 2 3/4" side and score at 2 1/4" on both ends ( see the video)
Fold out flaps: cut (2) pieces of cardstock to 9 1/2" x 6 1/2" then on the 9 1/2" side score at 4 1/4" ~ 8 1/2" and 9"
Mats:
Front cover: cut (1) piece of pattern paper to 5 3/4" x 8 1/4"
Back cover: cut (1) piece of pattern paper to 6 1/4" x 8 1/4"
Flap: cut (1) piece of pattern paper to 2" x 8 1/4"
Top side: cut (1) piece of pattern paper to 3/4" x 8 1/4"
Sides: cut (2) pieces of pattern paper to 3/8" x 6 1/4"
Bottom side: cut (1) piece of pattern paper to 1/2" x 8 1/4"
Bottom Flap:
Pocket: cut (1) piece of pattern paper to 2" x 8 1/4"
Above the pocket: cut (1) piece of pattern paper to 3 1/2" x 8 1/4"
Fold out flaps: cut (8) pieces of pattern paper to 4" x 6 1/4"
Inside Strips:
Top: cut (1) piece of pattern paper to 3/4" x 8 1/4"
Sides: cut (2) piece of pattern paper to 3/8"x 6 1/4"
Bottom: cut (1) piece of pattern paper to 1/2" x 8 1/4"
Inside flap: cut (1) piece of pattern paper to 2" x 8 1/4"

This is such a cute project! I love the fall papers and how easy you make it look. I know I can do this too. My question is for all of you here, what do you put in this folio? Do you gift it to someone with cards? Do you put note paper? How do you use these lovely little folios?

My question too. I make all kinds of things & they're always empty. This one is my FIRST attempt at any of the Folios! "Biting nails". I would like to know at the beginning how many pieces of cardstock for the base to start with & then how many patterned pieces.

Just a question about the gussets, why do we have different sizes on each.? 3/4” and 1” right?

The gussets are different for the main base and the bottom flap, this to allow for the adding of photos and decorative elements
