I bought the 1/10 Maxx and after everything I spent on upgrading parts I decided to buy the Hoss due to already having metal spur and components and I have extra 3s Lipo batteries that I don't use on my Maxx. Hoss also looks more stable to control and good as is without having to upgrade parts.

I got mine two days ago, and it's fast. Just be careful and watch the size of your battery pack. I got a hard case pack from my dealer, and it's the exact size as the Hoss battery tray, and I had to grind the crap out of the battery case to make it fit. It's a beast on a 3s pack but also runs well on a 6 cell NiMh pack. I'm going to get a 7 cell NiMh pack to play around with.

After opening out of the box, I learned a much need upgrade or two for the hoss would be cv axles and shocks. The plastic axles can’t compete with torque this machine puts out. They lasted about 10 mins. The shocks can take some torture but not much. At the end of the day I had to install new ones for it due to one bending the metal rod which caused the upper control arm to snap. That was the first day...
