the only other emulations I'm desperate to see working are... The Atomiswave games (King of Fighters XI) Sega NAOMI (mainly Capcom vs. SNK) and one of my personal Namco favorites, Time Crisis II.

When is Virtua Cop gonna be emulated at working state? And when is Fatal Fury: Wild Ambition gonna be fully emulated?

Both of those things will happen as soon as you fix them and send MAMEdev the patches. But seriously, most Model 2 games including Virtua Cop and Daytona should be fully playable in the next release (0.196). You'll need a faster machine than ElSemi's emulator, but people probably knew that already :)

I played dynamite cop and despite the obvious sound issues, it ran perfectly fine for me ,no slowdown whatsoever

it's all about preservation. It may seen pointless to you, but in the MAME project there are plenty of people interested in documenting circuit boards and electronic devices despite they have good games or not.

They absorbed MESS into MAME like 3 or 4 years ago, which means the goal now is to emulate everything, not just arcade games.
