​@@silentreader77People didn't buy it when Moto Z had those mods. It is a big ask to commit to a proprietary solution without the promis of support of next generation Fusion phones. HMD at least should have given this phone better specs and longer software support. Back than Motorola officially promised 3 phone generation to support the mods and 4 generation actually did. All that wasn't enough to get people buying into a property eco system. I love my Moto Z2 Force, Z3 Play and Z4 with all the mods but it is definitely a niche product.

@@oida10000 This. So much this. Donno what Nothing was thinking. No NFC = no sale in EU. Well, some grandmas may buy them, except they opted for emergency bright colors and black sooooo... scratch that . I was recently looking for a new phone and bought another brand just because of the lack of NFC. If it had it, I would've bought 1 in 0.5 seconds. It is perfect in all other aspects for me. But because it doesn't, I would choose this HMD before the CMF if I had to choose between the two.

Because it's a marketing trick. No one will want to sell you a true modular phone or anything really if they can get away without the modularity. Less replaceable parts = new phone sooner. They just wanna use the hype and try to sell phones. And in this case - "special" back covers after you buy the phone. If they truely wanted to sell modular phones, they'd let you choose the parts/modules you want when you buy one and charge per peice, like Framework does for laptops. As you can see in the video, that's not the case, so....

I watched a review of a true e-ink phone a while back, it doesn't work. Even when the e-ink panel is good and fast, color is either pathetic or 256 grayscale from 2004. Now, if there was a phone that had OLED on the front and e-ink on the back (or better yet e-ink backcover that you can buy and attach), that would be something. It would kill a lot of kindle sales because of the convenience. And if you flip the phone you can use the e-ink as an always on display, it literally uses 0 power when stationary. Solar panel would also be cool, I'd buy that, too.

I was able to uninstall it on this phone by first going to settings -> apps -> Facebook -> disable and after that going to Google Play and hitting uninstall button on Facebook app. It still shows the Facebook app in App Settings but it takes 0 B of space and says Disabled. 320Mb reclaimed.

For consumer phone, this won't cut but as a work phone, this looks pretty decent. Bummer that they downgrade the SoC as from early leaked spec it was supposed to run industrial SD7xx Then again there's XR22 coming with quite a lot of upgrades that can make Fusion + Rugged outfit looks irrelevant

Hmd needs to put more potent processors in really. The sd 4 gen 2 is just not proper for this day and age, its too low power. Which is great for battery life but bad for performance of you want to game on it.. and this thing comes with a gaming outfit.
