A really touching story about Evan, he was based off of a Reddit user's brother who loved fallout 4, but passed away just before some of the DLCs came out. Victory and Quartz were in New Vegas, since I think Quantum wasn't allowed in that game, but when you get the sasparilla star caps, they have a familiar blue glow to them. Of course, quantum made a comeback in Lonesome Road.

Nuka victory is actually very useful. One buggy legendary from far harbor needs a item that irradiates you to break the game. It grants percentage based rad resistance equal to your current rads. If you hit full rads and use an item that irradiates you you get rad immunity as long as you wear it and stay at over max rads. This immunity means you don't have a health debuff from rads. Nuka cola victory can then be used to exploit this thoroughly, especially with the assaultron's head. By taking every rank of pre-nukaworld ghoulish but no perks that decrease rads over time (those will cause you to lose maxed rads and thus your immunity) you can heal by irradiating yourself with no downside. This makes the assault-tron head a extremely useful weapon as it heals you with every shot. Going swimming will also heal you as long as you don't have aqua-girl/lad.

Johnny's Crap Shak Rank 3 and the bugged legendary does the same thing but better. No waiting for the radiation to go away since it technically isn't debuffing your health. Some interface issues, but not much.

New character build, "The Nuka Junkie" rules are only Nuka-Cola products may be consumed. No stimpacks or chems. No food as well because it doesn't taste like Nuka-Cola duh. Weapons are unarmed because you're a madmen who only consumes soda. The way the character looks is very skinny with hair falling out from lack of proper nutrition. Special stats are 9 Luck and make everything else even as possible because let's be honest a nut like this didn't survive on any skill set at all, just pure luck. Sounds like fun I'm in!

You might have a mod interfering with the effects of Nuka Victory. It's supposed to heal around 800 health or something like that. PC: Mod the game till it breaks then mod it some more till it's fixed.

Actually it is suppose to heal for around 800 but there is a glitch for PS4 at least where it doesn't show anything other then rads and doesn't give you any health boost. According to the wiki the glitch might be caused by getting the wasteland survival 3 perk from a magazine. But yeah, it's a glitch.

I also thought you might like to know this AWESOME fact about Bethesda and this D.L.C. Regarding the NUKA LOVE recipe, the character Evan was actually Bethesda honoring a child who was a HUGE fan of Fallout and Skyrim. His older brother wrote into Bethesda, regarding the Make a Wish Foundation and told Bethesda his little brother had stage 4 cancer and wouldnt be around long. Bethesda asked for him to tell them about his brother, His name was also Evan. When Fallout 4 was released, they presented Evan with Fallout 4 and also showed the 2 boys where to find Evan. Bethesda was awesome for doing that. Now that boy, Evan, is immortalized in Fallout 4.😂🙌

I use the mod that gives all the bottles their own look, and its beautiful. I also use a mod that adds-in Sunset Sarsaparilla, another that adds-in a couple of classic bottles/flavors. and also the FSD mod which adds two more flavors. I then use yet another mod to make all flavors appear in the machines (including Vim!), and then I hacked that mod to use the ones from the other mods as well (including Sunset Sarsaparilla), so now every time I find a full soda machine my little heart lights up with joy. :)

U know you could just refill the empty Nuka bottles in the new crafting station. That would of been a cool mechanic. And maybe a small health regen would nice for one the Nuka colas or maybe two.

the thing that is missing from this is the hp/ap per second... some flavors restore your health and/or action slowly while some are more or less instant The party boy perk also affects certain ones like Dark and Bombdrop. Giving the bottles to Drinkin’ Buddy turns them ice cold for a significant bonus. Nuka-Cooler is amazing, Nuka-Rush is great, Nuka-Fancy is superb, and Nuka-Sunrise is quite good in terms of potency. Personally, I just like them because they’re fun to craft and they’re much more fun to RP with than boring old stimpaks. Nothing beats good old fashioned ice cold Quantum though, and ice cold Nuka-Cherry is the bread and butter of any character that uses lots of action points. The pinnacle of the Nuka-Cola experience is combing a jet pack, ultra-jet, and a huge stack of AP-restoring flavors. I’ve covered absolutely massive distances in my jet pack thanks to Cooler, Rush, and Cherry.

I find it interesting that Nuka Quartz shines in the same kind of yellow that Vim Quartz does. Of course, there was the legal battle over the name (which Nuka won), but it opens the question who copied whom. Then of course, Nuka Cola Wild was supposed to compete with Sunset Sarsaparilla, but didn't manage to become as popular. By the way, on the topic of legal battles: In one of the Nuka World loading screens, it states that the reason for the rocket shaped bottles was a rival company suing Nuka over the iconic bottle shape. The Nuka-Victory effect is randomized. In my (unmodded) game, it gives me 840 HP over time, but in a different file it gives me 8 rads. I also don't have the wasteland survival guide perk that makes irradiated food heal more.

So Bethesda saw the story, and they decided to immortalize Evan in the Nuka World DLC.

I think Nuka-Cooler was actually a reference to Ecto-Cooler from when Hi-C made the drink for the Real Ghostbusters cartoon. The Chicago Ghostbusters made the only homemade recipe. I mean, come on, it's friggan green.
