I get why GD did this line to get a lower price point, but in the case of the 27BH, just wish they would make a Bunkhouse with all the features in this size range in something like a solitude. Seems only longer ones in the higher end lines. The 278BH was a happy medium…

Nice that they have added solar and auto-levelers - definite step up from the 150 series. I have the Reflection 150 series 273MK with similar floorplan, except it has a desk instead of rear bunks; really like the large amount of kitchen counter space and storage.

That access door in the closet is for the shower handle access.

Exactly same plan as our 278BH. Except for missing some cabinet doors, and an outdoor kitchen it's almost identical.

Competing w/Keystone Cougar Sport but definitely 1 upped with the BH storage on the back for better access. Only change I’d like to see is loose the bottom 4 drawers under the TV and add a Electric Fireplace. This is a great Grandparent Unit.

Saw this in person. No outdoor kitchen, no rotobox, no abs, smaller widows, smaller microwave and random things like no doors on the dinette benches. Drops about $15k off the price of the old 278BH. Wish they would have kept the older model in the 150 lineup also.

@@wills8080 I google searched rotobox and the abs you speak of and got nothing. Can you elaborate? We have a 1 year old and we're selling our 22MLE to buy this unit... I think. I want as close to 30 feet, with a bunk, as I can get.. then I need to retrofit it to go off grid.

looks like its only 300 lbs lighter than the 278BH. Biggest weight savers is the removal of exterior kitchen and smaller bunks, maybe smaller windows and microwave.. all that adds up to 300

Pardon the *dumb* question here (newbie alert!), but how long of a truck bed would you need for this fifth wheel? Would a 6 1/2 work or do you have to go long box (8')? Thank you in advance for any feedback/guidance....

I’m an amateur when it comes to 5th wheel info but I believe a 6.5 box will work fine as long as you have a slider pin box. Google will answer any questions regarding a slider better than I can.

It has the Turning point pin box. It is designed to move the pivot point backwards for short bed trucks and allow for 90 degree turns.

They make sliding hitches that allow the the entire hitch to slide toward the tailgate for tight maneuvers. I used one before I bought my dually. They work great, and will allow true 90 degree (plus in some cases) turns. They cost a little more but worth it for the short bed trucks. I would not go down the highway that way because of where it distributes the weight behind the rear axle though. We used to roll through town with it slid back till I got the the 4 lane. Pull a lever, lock the trailer breaks, back the truck up, and it locks. Super easy.

luv the no skylight in the bath. For me just another opening in the roof to leak and lets heat in in the summer and heat out in the winter. Nice.

Um, get a grill & stand (with a weatherproof cover), and perhaps a folding table? That's what we use for ours (no outdoor kitchen), and on our 3-week vacation I cooked outside almost every day. If everything else is perfect, some degree of compromise is possible.

@@mikeh4245 exactly. Especially when it’s a much lower price than the old 287bh. I have an outdoor kitchen, but still use a basic plug-in griddle because it’s much easier to use and clean up is easier. Lol

@@itr0863 Yeah, we carry a 22" Blackstone and folding stand with our Imagine 2600RB, it has less cargo space than this yet we make it work. The rear storage compartment on this trailer looks like a great place to carry a portable grill.
