Had a GTI previously, just got 8.5 GTE... great on fuel but GTI was much more fun. I miss the fake exhaust noises 😭 but GTE has its good points. Definitely enjoying the electric range especially when you get to charge it for free 😄

I have the Mark 8 GTE. The Mark 8 is already brilliant, cheap to run, quiet around town and quick when needed, but for me the bigger battery and the fast charging option in the 8.5 are game changers. I can't see me going to the petrol station more than twice a year!

@@FarringdonEd its a rather complete and exciting car in some cases, if you need it to be when pushing it. Rather expensive but you get some goos car. Thanks for watching 🙏

I like the tech in the GTE. I like that VW improved the battery capacity and now you can benefit from faster charging as well. I am an owner of GTE 8 and I would say it is amazing car I enjoy it every day. I drive it mostly in electric and it performs very well, but if I need to buy it again I will think twice before buying it 😂😂😂 quite expensive 😂 Thanks for the video by the way! 👌

no idea what VW are thinking with this - options are meant to increase with price not reduce - this is the tipping point for me not upgrading my GTE 7.5 .... considering other manufacturers now

Trevlig review! 😊
@whatcarwhattime3 ай бұрын

@@whatcarwhattime Because whatever we want or not electric cars will be the only thing you can buy as a personal car. And the Chinese competitors do a great job. Cheaper and better quality. Greed and snobbism will bury VW soon.
