There is something called the 4-7-8 method. You breathe in for 4 seconds hold your breath for 7 seconds and exhale for 8 sseconds. It helps you go to sleep.

❤😊 Another TOTALLY AWESOME ONE.... If you would just soften the volume of your voice and make the rain sound stronger 💪🏾💓 . Please please 🥴 don't get me wrong you are Great I love ❤️ you
@DanJonesHypnosis Жыл бұрын
Thank you... Interestingly I got the exact opposite comment from someone else, asking me to reduce the sound of the rain and increase the volume of my voice because they couldn't hear my voice clearly because of the sound of the rain being too loud. Adding sounds or music is always a challenge because everyone listens on different devices and in different ways (like through headphones or from a single phone speaker, or through better speakers etc). The audio advice is to have the background music and sound effects about 20dB lower than the voice, but depending on the device someone is listening on, this can lead to some finding the sound is too quiet, for others the sound is too loud, sounds always seem louder through headphones as well. This problem is highlighted more if someone listens on poor speakers which can often be tinny and reduce some of the lower frequencies, which can then make things like rain sound more like static if it is quiet, rather than having the richness of the sound to hear that it is rain.

I agree. I listen through headband headphones. Sometimes the voice sounds wake me up after pauses because the rain doesn’t mask the pauses well at all. Your page is still interesting and has been my new thing this week to sleep to 😊

That’s your opinion Lisa I like all of his stuff pretty much. I just don’t like when I’m falling asleep and then KZbin throws in an add in between the rain from the last video into the next. I know I can pay extra for no adds but I can’t afford to l. I’m barely surviving smh. But Dan Jones is an awesome storyteller/ sleep hypnotist

You can allow yourself to be uncomfortable if you prefer. It is entirely up to you what you allow yourself to do, but generally people find it better to allow themselves to get comfortable. It is all about you being in control of your own experience...

@DanJonesHypnosis5 ай бұрын
Yes. Everything I've uploaded prior to the end of last year when KZbin made it compulsory for ads at the end of videos only have ads before the video, no ads during the video or after the video. Since the end of last year all videos on KZbin have ads at the end and creators have no choice and can't turn the ads off. To try to address this I now make long videos so that the end ad shouldn't be a problem

I’ve tried listening to you a few times but I wish you spoke softer and slower. If you paused between words it would help as well. Please consider speaking slower for future videos. You talk at a normal speed which doesn’t help me fall sleep :/

WHY RUIN IT WITH RAIN???????
@DanJonesHypnosis6 ай бұрын
It makes it very clear in the title that this specific compilation is storytelling and rain. Obviously if I you don't want to listen to compilations with rain you can choose to listen to ones without rain instead of choosing to find something you know you don't like and don't want to listen to and clicking on it to leave negative comments about its existence. That would be like me clicking on a music reaction channels video reacting to an artist I dislike and complaining at them for reacting to something I don't like, as if I am so entitled that people should only do what I like and not things others like, rather than just scrolling past the videos which don't interest me to focus on the ones that hopefully do. That kind of entitled behaviour doesn't make any sense to me? I have All Night Sleep Stories compilations without rain, in fact until last year that was pretty much all I did, but for whatever reason people's tastes have changed and people seem to only want content with rain sounds, so that is why it has rain, because views when rain is included are significantly higher than when rain isn't included, so after testing both here for a while I decided to stick with what got the most views, as this is a business. I still post all of my content rain and SFX free on all streaming and downloads services (Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, SoundCloud etc) and on other apps like Insight Timer, and have a playlist of my content without rain sounds here on this channel, and for a year or so, to please those who wanted voice-only, including voice-only compilations I set up a dedicated channel for voice-only content, however, very few people were interested in the voice-only content and compilations nowadays, so after a year or so I stopped posting the content to that channel.

I've had to reduce the spaces between saying things and giving people time to action what I am saying. I used to give time like I do during therapy sessions, but on KZbin anything longer than 4 seconds gets the video inundated with complaints due to the 'long pauses'. Over a period of about 6 months back in 2019/20 I reduce the spaces to an average of about 6 seconds, then 5, then finally 4 seconds, which was the point that most complaints stopped. I prefer, it is best practice, and it is what I teach to therapists, that pauses should be long enough for the person to 'do' what was asked, and in many cases, this means pausing for 10-20 seconds at times and when presenting therapeutic work to do inside the mind, or time for the person to absorb into the experience, then it could be a minute or two, and face-to-face it is common to pause for perhaps 5-10 minutes as you watch the person making inner changes. I know some of the people who have followed me for years, from before I 'appealed to the masses' listen to my stories at 0.75 speed, some at 0.5 speed to make the spaces more like they prefer. Generally nowadays tracks I create have more variety in the pausing and include longer pauses, but I've also been sharing compilations of my old tracks, which had shorter pauses. I am now heading back towards posting what I want to post, rather than what is popular. When I used to create all the stories live, people who liked longer pauses would listen to the live versions rather than the edited versions, because I record everything as it is meant to be heard, and then change this for the edited version.
