Hard to explain the impact this game had on my childhood. Its environment, its NPCs, its warmth all of it
@madheadmadDAZ8 жыл бұрын
I remember playing it all day and all night and when i finally came off it, I would save my game in an Inn to make it feel more realistic. Man i used to get such red and saw eyes lol. I would even sit for a couple of minutes listening to this music before i turned the game off lol.

It was truly beautiful. One of my most remembered games of my childhood. But man, I hated Oblivion(the devilish planescape, I mean) and cheated my way right through :D sometimes I couldn't even handle those claustrophobic dungeons...

I remember walking into an inn where the desk clerk was scrawling on a piece of paper. I picked up the paper from under his pen and he yelled at me to "put that down!" That was when I knew that games were about to get really cool.

Honestly, not a night goes by without me listening to this music before going to sleep. It always brings a sense of calm and composure over myself. Undoubtably, this masterpiece is incredibly cultured and traditional; with such fluid harp and flute tones coming together, I always feel that maybe when my eyes are closed I've somehow returned to the early renaissance. This music is crafted in such a way that it seems to me that it would be listened by wealthy merchants or scholars of sorts, tucked away in their private estates or manors; ever-so calmly having a bard or musician playing these refined medleys as they rest. I never experience difficulty becoming lost in a sedated state of music-induced sleep while listening to the tranquility of every note played.

CaptainRonRico I completely agree. It is so perfect, and is just all around amazing.

I've listened to this most nights for years. Truly a major part of the soundtrack of my life. Thank you

In my opinion, Oblivion towns and specially interiors were more cozy and beliveable than Skyrim's. Also, you have this heavenly music to be played in them.
@xXblazmodzXx7 жыл бұрын
Vity viktor and plus, oblivion didn't have that automated-animation bullshit that skyrim had, which is so incredibly hard to look past. I feel like Oblivion had more feeling. More emotion, atmosphere, and all around, color to it.:)

I'll just help all of you here. Go into your Oblivion directory, wherever you have it installed, open the folder called data, find the one called music and open that. There is all of your music. Copy it, put it in your library to have it properly.

I liked Morrowind and Skyrim more, but if I had to choose a TES game to live in, it'd be Oblivion. The villages are just so nice and calm. Aside from the daedra invasion of course.

Anyone who says skyrim was a better game just got into Elder Scrolls in Skyrim. The music, gameplay, story ... everything about oblivion was better... this was THE First huge open world game with a mass amount of content which paved the way for the next gen and not only the next gen, for years to come beyond that... it's a milestone in gaming which has never really been surpassed by anything which has come since. You can't recreate the Mona Lisa, you can't recreate Oblivion's impact on gamers lives.

Oblivion's OST is just beautiful, you take the beauty of the music from Oblivion and have the graphics of Skyrim SE and placed in somewhere like Valenwood, Elsewyr, or even Hammerfell. (I prefer that the next TES be in Valenwood, Elsewyr, or Summerset Isles) it'd be a perfect game.
