@@frieda1471 I find that teaching is one of the best ways of learning! Teaching your parents, friends or even a stuffed animal! It enables you to word things in a way that is easily understandable and therefore benefit you. You will be able to remember content so much easier as your brain will really be processing the information:)

@Tjk_ SkaZeRe.m.f stands for electrotmotive force. It is essentially the total electrical energy supplied by the battery sent around the circuit. Units are V. The weird looking E represents e.m.f in the equation and is also the Greek letter known as epsilom. Hope I was able to answer your question.

Just gonna add something, for the I-V characteristic graph for the diode, the line won’t starting going up from the origin because diodes have what’s called a threshold voltage meaning a current will only start flowing once the threshold voltage has been reached, for the diode shown in the video, this would be around 0.8 volts.

You missed out small things that are quite important such as the value a diode will produce current but overall it's good. I wouldn't rely on this video on it's own though.

22:06 can someone explain to me why there's no resistance when the pointer is at the left end? surely if it's at the other end the circuit bypasses the resistor and effectively avoids the resistance? i'm not correcting or anything, i'm sure it's right., but i just don't understand why 😔

The resistance is proportional to the length : R = (resistivity x length)/area . Therefore when l = 0, r = 0, such as there being no resistor. Therefore as V = IR, there is no voltage.
