@Yoda Except, he didn't, It was his idea to put Dooku betraying Ventress and let her have her own story, It was George's idea to introduce Mother Talzin and the dathomir people like Savage in the show, his idea to bring Maul back and with that appearence, Dave didn't want it to, It was George's idea that Maul would join DeathWatch, that he would create Shadow Collective with Black Sun and the Hutts, and then overtrow Mandalore and Vizla with his Sith teachings and intelligence, and it was also his idea the fight against Palpatine and his participation in the Siege, just like Filoni stated in the background of those episodes. Even Dave hymself claimed that most the directing and the writing work of those episodes was all the doing of people like O'Connell, Bosco Ng, Chris Collins and Katie Lucas, and all he did was say "yes, this goes on air" when almost everything was done. But no, let's give him obsolutely all the credit for Maul and only acknowledge him for the success when he did almost nothing.

Would have loved to see George's story come to fruition with Darth Maul & Darth Talon in his sequel trilogy. I read all the "Star Wars Legacy" comics featuring Cade Skywalker, Darth Talon, & Darth Krayt. Honestly, some of my favorite Star Wars stuff I've read! What could have been! I'd love for them to let George put out his sequel trilogy in any format. Whether it's a book, animated, live action. I don't care, would just love to see it. Darth Maul was such a visually stunning character as a kid. Growing up with the prequels, I didn't think anyone got as cool as him. Would rewatch the fight scene in Phantom Menace over and over on VHS. Another great video. Thanks for the content!

U kind of missed out a lot maul challenged Pre Vizla to warriors Duel which Maul won after His victory Bo Katan and the night Owls didn't want an outsider to rule Mandalore So they rebelled against Maul and the rest of Death-watch. Also Sidious crushed the shadow collective because he considered maul as a rival also he did this because Maul was gaining to much power etc. Sidious took maul to the Spire a Separatist prison because he wanted to kill Mother Talzin the Leader of the NightSisters (Clan of Witches). Crimson Dawn becomes such a threat to both the Empire, the Hutts and Tatooine,that both Ghost Qui-gon and the Emperor separately task Kenobi and Vader to hunt down this Crimson Dawn and Maul, ultimately ending with a three way battle on Dathomir. Kenobi sees he wont be able to turn back Anakin and escapes angering both Vader and Maul. Maul becomes broken and lost by Vader as we meet him on Malacor in Rebels. Maul just shouts "he (kenobi) lives" in Rebels, not "he lived thru order 66", so kenobi/maul can happen. Vader and his fleet wipes out the Crimson Dawn fleet over Dathomir which Maul needed the Solo Hyperfuel for to begin with.
