Hendrick has never not given all their cars the equipment. ..... Kahne had a dehydration issue the started when he got to Hendrick. It's a shame because he had some real potential to do damage for Hendrick.

The Kahne vs. Kenseth battle is one of my favorite battles in NASCAR history. Matt Kenseth is my all time favorite driver, but Kahne has always appealed to me for some reason, perhaps as an underdog gone fan favorite. That was just some good racing that was fun to watch.

Kahne would've done a whole lot better had Hendrick not given him the leftover scraps from the 48, 88, and 24 cars.

I believe if he had the speed, the five car of Larson currently has, he would’ve no doubt had more wins
@Andrew-wv8ow10 ай бұрын
i think it’s because back then the 5 was the 4th priority it went from 48-24-88-5 who they cared more about if they swapped 24 and 5 around he would of had atleast 15 wins at hendricks

I was at Pocono when Kasey won there in August 2013. My dad and I were there for our third annual father-son trip, and it was an incredible race from green flag to checkered. (Before anyone argues, though, my favorite Pocono moment was the next year's race when I got to see Dale Jr. win in person).

I would actually argue that Kasey Kahne would have redeemed his career had the No 5 team been given the scraps of his Hendrick teammates in the 24, 48, and the 88

The 2017 Brickyard 400 marked the last win for Kasey Kahne before retirement and the last appearance of the #5 in victory lane until the 2021 Pennzoil 400.
