One smart choir director I know pointed out that singing is a visual art. Maybe an oversimplification, but the visual aspect makes an impact on the listener. And when singers are physically and emotionally involved, not in a phony way, they sing better.
@aderiancreature84645 жыл бұрын
I used to join a choir: when you smile while singing high notes you are going to reach them better. Our director always told us to smile while singing and it sounds much better when you do it.

I've been in a lot of choirs and it's usually up to the director to teach and tell the participants that expressions are a must. I wish more directors would teach this. Otherwise it's up to each choral member to really feel the music and show expression.

Everyone praising the choir should know that it's the arranger and DIRECTOR that makes each performance a masterpiece. There are beautiful voices nearly everywhere. But it takes immense talent and skill to pick the right voices to sing together, then train them, then conduct them for each song, - the volume, the tempo, the pitch, the harmonies, the facial expressions, the movements. You can see that this director is a sort of genius and has this choir in the palm of his hand. Long may he live!

What a gift, to hold such a service to Life, to God(dess), to Earth and the Universe - to the Heart and the Essence of (Wo)Man. What a big and worthy "Thank You" for being and loving and achieving. What a Prayer. What a bath in frequencies. What an initiation to students - to give their all in life. What a blessing. Thank you, André - and choir. This truly points to and aims at the realm above us, where we are all hopefully headed - be it the next and better level for us to climb - or true heaven. And it tells us: Yes! We can go there!
