Thanks for this Alyona, really enjoy seeing swatches. I love my Sodalite Gen. and purchased it as a stick which is a very cost effective way of accessing some of the Primatek colours (sadly not many are offered in this format, yet!). I have no re-wetting issues with the DS sticks either (I know this puts some people off). Thanks again for all your wonderful videos and I hope you're starting to feel better :)

Also meant to ask which sketchbook this is please? Apologies if I missed you mentioning it. I'm looking for new sketchbooks so it's handy knowing which ones might also not be the best :)

Kendall it’s Khadi Papers, but the thin paper, it feels inconsistent and some mediums like inks don’t work on it at all, start spreading and create mess. I do like their thicker paper sketchbooks though. The one I would recommend is the Strathmore Mixed Media sketchbook, I just started using it and love how everything looks amazing on the paper. It’s 100% cotton! You can see it in my either July Favourites or Aug Haul video, I swatched out different mediums.

@@AlyonasWatercolourCreations Thanks so much Alyona; both of these brands are the sketchbooks I'd had my eye on so really appreciate the extra info. Thank you for all your wonderful videos and I even find myself dancing along to your happy intro music :)

Sodalite is my absolute favorite primatek color - I used to use a lot of indigo, but now I use sodalite for the fantastic granulation. I also have the primatek set of 6 and I really like jadeite and amethyst from those. Amethyst is also fairly sparkly, which adds a nice touch to other mixes :) I'm super tempted to get fuchsite and green apatite but I always talk myself out of it because I already have Sennelier emerald and Daniel Smith green gold so I can't really justify it. I'm sure I will cave one day and buy them though! Now you've made me want the bronzeite as well, lol.

I'd love to see a turquoise comparison swatching test. Side by side would be a great help in choosing the hues I like best. Love the Daniel smith speciality colours. Granultion MMMMMM LOVE THEM

Sodalite comes in a stick, which makes it a lot less expensive than buying the tube. (It’s easy to rewet.) I love it and use a lot of it.

Oh, I find the green ones mix absolutely beautifully with other greens! Any green really, sap green, phthalo green, jadeite genuine, perylene green, green gold etc. It really makes green shades come alive. 🥰

Wow! You are having Florida weather there in the UK! It is already hot here as well!

This is an old video, right now is a bit chilly. Sort of up and down, goes from nicely warm in the sun to freezing cold windy rainy weather. :)

same in the Netherlands with the hot weather.. tried to explain some people living in tropical countries as they were like what about the Sahara.. but heat there is different than heat here. especially when before the heat wave it was around 20°c so the body isn't adapted to the heat. Next to that our climate isn't made for high temperatures, it gets too humid and the air gets thick, like in a rain forest perhaps. Sahara is dry heat. 😊 but we are just not used to it for the most. I have some primateks as well, but some of the existing ones I could create same colour and effect with mixing colours I already have and are not primatek, which is cheaper a bit. the fuchsite genuine is beautiful though, very light but beautiful.

Great selection of the Primateks! I agree that the Fuchsite is beautiful but the shimmer is insane. Did you try the red Fuchsite too? It's a nice soft pink.

If you want to tone the greens down you could use raw umber.

Lovely video! I actually dislike the color of Serpentine, but I absolutely love mixing it! My favorite is to loosely mix with a bright Cobalt Violet (I have Turner’s version) . My favorite Primatek right now is Red Fuchsite.

Hannah Thufvesson it’s Khadi Papers, I like their thicker paper sketchbooks. But this one is on the thin side, and pages are very inconsistent, which basically can make some watercolour appear duller and some don’t granulate as well as on other papers. Also mediums like ink doesn’t work on it, starts feathering like crazy on some pages or even some parts of the same page. Very unpredictable. But I discovered that acrylic paint seems to work well! :)
