I have two Guinea pigs and I agree with all of this, they are expensive and poop a lot. They are generally scared of everything but once they’re comfortable with you they can be really entertaining and fun. You have to understand their nature and appreciate them for their positives and their flaws. They greet you when you come home with squeeks, which is awesome! They also adapt to your sleep schedule. You can leave them for long periods of time. They also influence you to eat more vegetables lol. Mine also really love music. I can put on some jazz and they will sit in their favorite spot mezmerized

i have a bearded dragon and her name is zippy shes 2 years old now and i didnt know that they were pricy i got mine for Christmas shes a orange beardy and she so cute and shes fat but we also call her a sand dollar but 100% recommend because they're not hard to take care of at all they are best pets for starter people but just remember make sure you have all the types of lightings they need and look up stuff that they might need as well :)

Goldfish are very hard and not a beginner fish, they produce a lot more waste than normal tropical freshwater fish. I would definitely recommend a betta and some guppies if you want any aquatic fish that are easy.

I have 7 guinea pigs, 1 hedgehog, 3 cats, and 4 dogs. I loooooooove guinea pigs and will forever own them. They do require a lot of maintenance to keep them clean and keep the smell down but I would do that as a job if I could. Same with hedgehogs just I hate cutting their nails because their quills hurt every time. Dogs I will definitely never own again because their just too much for me. Mine are destructive when i sleep so i have to kennel them when i sleep and even then me shifting in my sleep causes them to make a ruckus in their kennel or run to the back door and if i don't get up they potty on the floor. My one dog has tantrums and does it all day so all i hear is barking and whining at home and at work since i work at a animal shelter. The cost of their upkeep doesn't help and vet care is extremely expensive for just their shots. Definitely am not owning dogs again Cats aren't too bad to own but I simply won't do it again because i hate that they escape outside or want to go outside and i hate that they want to constantly get my small animals. I know a lot of my issues can be fixed but the thought of possibly having to go through the same issues is a big no for me.

I agree with the Guinea pigs. I had Guinea pigs but got rats after they passed away bcuz of their upkeep. I just didn’t have the time to keep their cage clean. The entire bottom of their cage would be a mushy poop/pee mess when I got home from work. They eat SO MUCH. They never stop eating or pooping BUT they are so darn cute. If I ever move out to a farm where I can have a little hut for Guinea pigs outside with a small barn like shelter and a fenced in outdoor area I would definitely get Guinea pigs again. If it was to keep them inside, in a cage. I don’t think I’ll ever do that again. They smell to. I don’t think Guinea pugs are good cage animals. Same with rabbits. Some small animals are ok to have as a cage pet but some just need that extra room to move around and an outdoor area where they do their business.

⁠@@HalskeI know I’m not Liv, anyways, I’ve had rabbits!! They normally cost anywhere from $20-200 so it varies depending where you get them from and what breed they are!! I highly recommend rescuing rabbits from rescues though!! The best pellets to feed are either Oxbow garden select or Sherwood pellets!! Most other pellets contain bad ingredients!! ❤
