Inflation is a direct result of Corporate Tax Cuts. They have soaring profits and have increased their by 300% to 500% This is what everything is so damn expensive. Google DeSantis & Florida, he made backroom deals for the insurance companies. Then, took them to dinner. Right now, things appear odd. The US dollar is becoming less valuable due to inflation, but it is becoming more valuable when compared to other currencies and commodities such as gold and real estate. People are flocking to the dollar because they believe it is more secure. I'm concerned that rising inflation may cause my $420,000 in retirement savings to devalue. We don't have any other places to deposit our money.

Why are you buying a home? Did something happen to your previous home or were you forced to move for work? Remember that on a mortgage you pay interest upfront and right now paying more than double what you would at a 3% interest rate. Even if you refinance, you're going to be refinancing the entirety of the principal which means you have just spent a crap ton of money on this house for nothing
