Hi. I purchased a RAV4 Hybrid two weeks ago and am loving it. I traded in my 2011 Rav4 to get it. I like to safety features, the comfort, and and all the updated bells and whistles. But it is a little overwhelming to figure it all out. So you generosity in providing three videos is greatly appreciated. Your information is clear, concise and delivered in a friendly way. Good going Rob.

If this was the year 2014, I’d say, wow, this infotainment system is so good. But sadly, it’s the year 2024 and my Japanese friends at Toyota must be boring and have given my RAV4 an outdated one that’s leaps and bounds behind the competition. I paid quite a bit for this vehicle and I’d expect better. Seriously, Toyota has to get their act together.

What I HATE about the Rav4 is that while I'd driving, my screen display is fully taken up by WAZE. Sometimes a good song will come on and the screen doesn't tell me the name of the song or the singer. Is there a way to get that to appear on the screen?

What about how android auto keeps disconnecting. Or how the safety features...i.e., sway warning, etc always reset when you start to car so you cannot tiennoff permanently. So frustrating

Too many Distractions that take one's attention away from what is going on around the Vehicle. For example, at 65 mph your vehicle travels 95.333333 ft/s and at 70 MPH your vehicle travels 102.666667 ft/s. A second of intention can meany a lot.

Am I the only one who can’t stand the fact that part of the screen is blocking part of the windshield? Why tf would you ever place the screen that high so it blocks part of your view of the road???

I never notice the screen is blocking the windshield honestly. I am looking straight ahead and paying attention to the road. It's not an issue for me.

Absolutely Not, this is a Hazard, and a Danger to everyone on the Road. Infotainment System = No Sale, as far as I am concerned.

We just got a new RAV4. We went from Honda to Toyota and we found the infotainment system on the Toyota extremely difficult to navigate- specially if there is a second driver who WILL NOT have the same operational “clearance” as the primary driver. Bad design

@@gailenrique2804 the primary driver has all access on their phone as well as through the infotainment system. The primary driver would then have give any other drivers special access through their Toyota app. With Honda, all those additional security measures are nonexistent.

Ok but you don't need to set that up it's there if you have special settings and you have another driver with his/her own specific settings. If you wanna keep it simple just connect multiple phones in Bluetooth and just switch between them

I would prefer it not to have any of this. Attention should be on what is going on around you. Not on Car Play or other demonstrations. The Infotainment System needs to go away.

@tah6746 So no radio either? Definitely no 8-tracks, cassettes or cd’s either.
@tah6746

@@robmotivetoo In my 2006 VW Jetta I have a Radio. It is not a Touch Screen. The Radio has physical Buttons and knobs. These buttons and knobs do not move as they do on a Touch Screen. I Know where things are so I do not have to look at the Radio to change the Volume or station.
@gailenrique2804
@gailenrique2804 5 ай бұрын
@tah6746 that was the technology back then. The only screen is to show clock, radio station and preset number... that's it. If you had a cd it would show track number and minutes elapsed per track. Surrounding the screen were buttons and a volume/tuning knob. Simplicity at the finest. Fast fwd to today... touch screen galore... people complain about no volume knob, if it has touch-capacative "buttons" they don't respond well... And some cars have climate controls in the display of the infotainment system.

One would get a Ticket for this if a Police Officer saw a Cell Phone or even a GPS mounted blocking the Windshield. Why is this allowed with a Infotainment System. I would get a ticket as well in I was caught using a Cell Phone when Driving. The same is not true for the Infotainment System. This should not be the case. Distracted Driving is Dangerous Driving. As far as I am concerned a Infotainment System = No Sale. The laws need to change. There are far too many distractions in Automobiles to day.

The Infotainment System needs to go. This is a huge Distraction when Driving as well as a very expensive item to fix if it fails. I will not by a New Car with a Infotainment System. I want Switches, Knobs, and Dials. That do not move. Also, I the lack of a Physical Key and a Keyed Ignition is not good. Not have a Key or Physical Security is a downgrade in Security not an Upgrade.

You can buy a Mazda... there's no touchscreen, but you have a scroll wheel and a volume knob as well as a few shortcut buttons. Simplicity with a bit of a learning curve, but at the beginning.... once you get used to it... it's all good.
