In this video we will go over the new software system Toyota has rolled out in most, not all, of its vehicles for 2023 and on. We expect this to be the staple system in every car very soon.

just bought a 2024 Rav 4. Last car I had was 25 years old. Don't have a clue what most of this stuff is. Wish you would do one on whats free and whats a subscription. Paying for cable is bad enough. Thank you. There are not color options but when equipped with the dynamic rear view camera, you can change the grid line type, which inherently has different colors per type.

Thank you. Your heated steering wheel Button should exist on the dashboard left of steering wheel. It’s a small square button next to the trunk and gas door buttons. For apple car play, simply plug your phone into the usb Jack and wait for the prompt on your phone and car screen. Allow all connections and it should activate. Let me know if that helps! And most importantly big congrats on such a nice car. What color??

Great video and it helped me a lot with my 2024 Rav4 Hybrid. I have a question and you probably can't help but no harm in asking. With regard to the RSA over the speed limit notification, I can change the notification from Visual & Audio to No Notification or Visual Only, OR I can just turn it off completely However, when I turn the car off and back on again it goes back to the default “ON” position or defaults to "Visual & Audio". I have tried so many times but regardless of whether I select No notification or Visual Only, when I turn car off and back on again it forgets and defaults to visual and Audio. Similar thing happens when I try to change the notification on the LTA. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated?

Is there ANY WAY to have this installed in older models (2019 Avalon for example) or activate it retroacively? The 2019 system is abysmal to use & only supports Apple Car Play. When you are looking at the "Date and Time", you mention "you can even change the format.". That's to change the format for the date, not the time. I have tried entering a date in the system and I can't. There is no obvious way to enter the day. It looks like you can tap on the date and enter a value but it just takes you to the different formats. Do you know how to enter a date?

I bought a new car and the sales associate did the initial setup for me in my car. Next thing I knew I am subscribed to services I explicitly did not want ( safety connect service) or was under the impression were free. I am annoyed with the sales associate. Thank you for watching. You can use CarPlay without the Toyota app. Yes. Safety connect is free. When the trial runs out, you are not charged. This should have been explained to you. In the app, select the person symbol on the top right, then select account, and there you can decline services. I hope this helps.

If you change the display to not be automatic its still goes in to night mode when in a tunnel or when it gets dark. Can you test it and see if it works for you?

I have a 2024 with the smaller screen but it's much like this. I'm still puzzling it out. What I can't do is to have a trip MPG or a cumulative MPG to keep a watch on what I'm getting. The only MPG I have found is that graphic screen you show. Nothing on the other display

How do you keep the "Experience Drive Connect" from popping up as an advertisement to prompt you to use it? When on the phone it mutes the call for about 5 seconds or the duration of the pop up. I looked onlline and yet to find how to disable the ad (pop up). One suggestion from another frustrated user was to press the red emergency button and complain to Toyota. If I have it on a FM radio screen it don't seem to pop up but always does when using CarPlay.

I’ve never seen this I’m sorry. Are you using the system as a guest? If so, create your account and add the car to the app And it should go away.

It shows a welcome message and my name at the top so I think I am logged in as dealer did when delivered. It’s does not show any subscriptions on the app but not sure if it should or not.

Hello, you fist want to connect yourself and set your account as the primary account. Then you can remove other users in the settings.

I have a 2023 Rav4 hybrid. Is there a way to reset the default to factory setting. My screen won't stay on the startup screen and goes to the map screen. I have to reset the system on every startup.

For default radio what exactly do you mean? And setting up second phone is the same process you did when you got the car to set up Bluetooth.
