I own a 2021 f150 hybrid limited. All of the negative comments below are from ignorance, they are simply not correct. I have been driving for 5 weeks and 3300 miles and frankly, it’s the most amazing 1/2 ton truck ever made. It takes regular gas, 24 combined hwy/city super comfortable, massaging seats (lol) looks fantastic, very little in the way of scheduled maintenance compared to every other vehicle I’ve ever had, frankly, I don’t have one negative thing to say. Love mine!

@@MrBklewis77 I got tired of waiting for the anti matter blue I ordered, so I got a pearl white that I found about 2 hours away. If I drive as I normally do (not hyper vigilant with speed limits) I get 19-20 mpg and I live in the mountains and it’s winter gas, come summer gas, I expect 22-23 and if I am very careful I should see 26-27 on the hwy but realistically driving normally I will get about 22-23 just to give you reasonable expectations

@@bradarmstrong7467 this is great stuff. Hoping it comes in this weekend and super excited about the gas mileage potential. I am trading in my 2019 5.0 Platinum. I love the truck, but I really hate Sync 3. I got every available option including Max Recline and Work Surface. We intend to use them all. I'll report back should it come in this weekend.

@@MrBklewis77 the only option I didn’t get because it just wasn’t out there was max recline. I did get sprayed bed liner from Ford and after market I got roll up tonneau cover and roadmaster active suspension upgrade as I plan on towing about 7k lbs trailer and don’t want any squat or other issues. I also put in a front and rear dash cam I wish Ford had that available they have enough camera’s! My only warning is when you gas up watch that the hose doesn’t hit the little rubber protrusion from the gas cover it has a very delicate plastic piece in it and if broken that will not allow the door to seat properly casing a warning on your dashboard and eventual check engine light. Not a big deal took minutes to replace under warranty but with parts shortages right now I had to wait almost a month lol other than that it’s been bullet proof what color are you getting?

@@bradarmstrong7467 I got the Antimatter Blue because it was available. I wanted Star White like you. I love metallic paint. Interesting you mention towing and the suspension upgrade. I have a 8.5x20 enclosed auto hauler and my Platinum pulls it like a champ and this limited will tow even more. I have a distribution hitch, but that thing is cumbersome. And I absolutely love the trailer back up assist I have now. Now with the addition of the Limited with the 7.2 kw generator, we plan on adding a travel trailer and doing some off the grid camping. We'll probably be reported missing, but we are so excited about the possibility of overlanding. A few Questions, does your truck do both parallel and perpendicular parking? Hows the speed sign recognition and lane keeping working out?

Unfortunately my speakers in my headrest have very little to zero sound coming out of them. I've read other reviews/watched videos and everyone has, for the majority, seemed to agree. They're not made to be the main source of audio, i know, but I wish they were loud enough to at least tell they're working... just my own experience.

I’m going for the 2022 power boost. TFL did charge a testless. Would have been nice working in the hurricane area big gas tank and no worries about someone stealing portable generator.

One thing with the intelligent cruise control you may not know is that it actually sees and reads the speed limit signs! I’m sure red lights and stop signs will be soon to follow.

Actually that tailgate feature is needed. If you grab things from the bed, you don’t have to put your things down to close the gate, simply knee it up.

I was so disappointed that I could only get 19 mpg in the city ... true driving... You can only use Eletric motor in a very limited way, up to 35 mph... if you just feather the gas pedal.....and you need gas to get the truck start moving ... barely much better than last year model... looks cool inside + the generator trick in the back... Best option is way for the full Eletric F150 in 2022.

Wow, I got 25 in mine on a 200 mile trip. But to be fair, most running around I get about 20 but remember that’s winter gas, summer gas will be better. Yes, the electric motor is not designed to be used as a full electric, you had unreasonable expectations if you expected otherwise, but I have had all electric kick in at freeway speeds (yesterday I was doing 60 in all electric mode on flat ground) and no, you don’t need gas to get going all the time (depending on settings and terrain, etc) I drive on my long drive way and often the first few miles of my daily commute on all electric unless I am really in a hurry and put my foot in it a bit to much and there are undulating hills there. Barely better than last years model? Lol sorry that’s just not even remotely accurate. As for full electric there are pluses and minuses. Range issues, charging times, upfront costs and towing range dramatically lower. We need to wait and see how things shake out with the electric version but it has promise and depending on your needs it might (or might not) be better for you.

Also, as a vehicle’s engine is broken in it tends to do better in the gas mileage area so after 5k miles you might see an increase that along with summer gas and if you drive smoothly I am sure you’ll get very close if not beat the 24 mpg number

Ha ha, I have Tesla S and X and I'm actually looking at a F150 Powerboost Platinum to replace the S. Anyone know if the auto steer is as good or better than the Tesla? That's the only feature I would really miss on a road trip.

Is the heater electric? I used to start my 2018 f150 for 30 min in the cold to warm up the engine to heat the truck. In the powerboost I have done the same and come out to a warm cabin temperature but a engine temp still kinda low..... it's like 10 degrees where I'm at right now, and on the way in to work when the truck is running on straight electric, I can see the coolant temp goes down sooo fast. With the engine temp so low like that it has to be a electric heater? Another concern is that the engine never really fully heats up, so will that kill the longevity of its life? I'm sure ford did a ton of testing, but I try not to put my foot to the floor until the engine is to its normal operating temperature, and this kinda takes the fun out of my drive to work, at least when it's this cold.

I have had zero issue in the cold and the heater works great weather the car is running or has turned itself off, add the heated seats and steering wheel it’s been a very comfortable cocoon for me the last 1.5 months

@@bradarmstrong7467 the truck is great, but i have had some issues already 😒 the power steering didn't work one morning for a min b4 leaving work. I think the 4wd didn't engage all the way one snowy morning at a red light. Probably didn't put the same gas as the dealer the first fill up and the engine was shuddering when I pulled out for a few secs. Then there's some cosmetic things with the truck, too many problems for such an expensive truck if you ask me.

@@ScoobyDrewski just curious did the power steering issue get fixed, what was the problem? I do notice that when the truck goes from battery power to start up it is a bit juttery, not super smooth and if it is idling at 900rpm it is a little rougher than when it idles at 1500 but that’s pretty much every vehicle. Why do you think the 4wd didn’t engage? Were you in slippery mode? That is 4wd auto meaning it’s in 2wd until it senses slipping tires then engages 4wd just a thought.I haven’t seen any cosmetic issues myself

@@bradarmstrong7467 Haven't had time to take it in. It was 9 degrees out when the power steering had a issue. I have the xlt so no 4 auto. I had it in slippery mode but didn't like how numb the throttle was lol so I put it back in normal and then just hit the 4H button so maybe it was just in a bad spot to engage... idk. Yea the faster you go the less you feel the gas engine start up. My dealer said they where having problems with the computer.... but they do over the air updates so endless I need a whole new one I should be fine I'm guessing Also I'm just leasing, but the power steering is a big issue for me as I am a new father 😎 and am currently driving around a 5 month old baby.

It doesn’t require premium fuel it uses 87 octane 90 Ron is a different rating system used in Canada, doesent mean 90 octane

Dang that’s crazy. That much for a little truck. I paid 71k for a loaded duramax Denali 2021. Maybe the ford is better at fuel economy? No, maybe towing, no. Maybe cheeper fuel nope. Maybe 0-60, not by much. Ummm I guess more electronics. I’m a truck guy and I’m thinking that the ford is geared towards people that travel all the time and don’t tow much. I think it takes a man that wipes his but with 100.00 bills. I’m not saying that gm is better, just using a 2500 hd truck as an example. 2500 hd trucks can get 18 to 20 mpg. They tow 20 thousand lbs. they are built with 1/2” steel. For the price the ford doesn’t make sense. What is cool is the sales guy is going to make a ton of money. Good for him.

Well let’s go down your list (I own a 2021 limited hybrid so I speak from experience) first of all 71k for a Duramax Denali is a basic Denali (granted that has a lot but no extras above that) and I have a lot more goodies than you do. fuel economy? , mine has epa 24 hwy, 24 city 24 combined. Yours? Nope. Cheaper fuel. It takes regular gas. 87 octane (90 Ron is not 90 octane that is a Canadian measurement)yours, more expensive diesel and you have def and much more expensive repairs and service. towing? Your comparing a 3/4 ton to a half ton, so you can’t compare that. 0-60 I guarentee mine is faster, aside from the new Ram 700 hp this is the fastest 1/2 ton available. Comfortable ride? Mine is worlds better. Massaging seats and a much more comfortable ride than any 3/4 or 1 ton. Oh and I have a built in 7.2 kw generator, do you? No? Oh sorry.

Back to your towing comment, this is rated at 12,500 lbs towing and the none hybrid is almost 14000 lbs. if you want more than that yea, a 3/4 or 1 ton is the way to comparison apples to apples. 1/2 ton to 1/2 ton Fords Frame is much stronger than a Gm or Ram. Same goes for Heavy duty. I understand, you bought an inferior truck and you want to justify that purchase (kidding) it’s just not the same, they are different tools for different jobs, compare to the Super Duty if you want to compare.

Mine is loaded to the gills. Mine has every option on it. Including trailer camera connections and tire monitoring system for my trailer. Automatic running boards. Also gets 18 miles to the gallon on the highway. I can put your truck in the bed and still get 13 miles to the gallon. I can change my oil for $25 Plus a $10 filter. Fuel filter change cost $40 and 20 minutes of my time. Your oil change probably cost over $100. I don’t have a generator but I can run a saw from the plug in the bed of my truck. I’ve never owned a Ford but I’ve heard a lot of people complain. My 2019 Ford van drives terribly so I don’t think the trucks are going to be much further from that.

You’re right, there is no comparison, no pun intended. That truck is nice and it is loaded. The comparison to that truck is a Lincoln or Cadillac. I’m not sure I would want to tow 14,000 pounds with a truck that weighs less than 5500 pounds. That’s the whole problem I had with my half ton truck. It was sketchy towing 7700 pounds. But like I said I’ve never owned a Ford truck before. Maybe I should go test drive one.

@@ericbuchta9765 I am a car guy so I I see your comparisons are just not apples to apples. Your vehicle is not nearly as loaded as mine. Good or bad it’s a fact, I have all the camera’s and tire pressure monitor’s including tire pressure for the trailer. I get you don’t want to tow 12k with a half ton frankly I wouldn’t either, nor would I want to tow to the ragged edge of your trucks rating with yours. Please don’t tell me your oil changes are cheaper than mine, that is treating me like I don’t know anything your oil capacity is 10 quarts, mine is 6 I have a 10k. Mile oil change schedule yours is 7500 you have def and fuel filters for water, I don’t. Yours is a harsher ride (it’s a 3/4 ton after all ) I have owned GM and had more problems than I can shake a stick at but my fords have been very reliable. Everyone has their own opinions and that’s fine. Bottom line, these are both tools mine is different and I don’t need to tow more than 7k, if a did I would have gotten a f250/350 enjoy your truck but please don’t tell me your duramax is cheaper to run than an f150 hybrid.

Have you seen the resale value on the raptor? Also a unique truck. Also, how much would the truck be worth to you if you were in Texas this last week? I am guessing a lot

Yeah...."all of the neat features" that ya can't get 'cause FORD stopped including some of their crap in the vehicle build as of 5/8/2022. No adaptive steering, No massaging seats, No Park assist, No max reclining seats, No Carmelo interior. Ridiculous!!! Will NEVER buy another ford, Will never custom order one again. The bait and switch approach is unacceptable.
