first thing I did was get the melodic parts of the song done (ie. the horns, strings) I just listened by ear to figure out what was played. ear training is smth im still tryna improve then I just made the drums, some parts sampled some recreated with GarageBand presets. then I added in the voxes, and the vocals. mixed it and then recorded

if u want to make music of ur own, I’d recommend learning some basic music theory. just look up some tutorials on KZbin, u don’t need to go too advanced (but u can if u want). it basically gives you a better idea on what melodies and chords give the feeling you want to show in the song. u should also get a daw, preferably paid, but it’s fine to start out with free ones like GarageBand. overtime as u make more music, you’ll figure out what sounds fit together, so I guess my last piece of advice is just to start making music. no one starts out composing masterpieces. if this is something ur genuinely passionate about, stick to it and put in the work. hope this helps, good luck on ur music :)
