In 1965 there were 4,000,000 here, now we have just reached 5,000,000. Hey John - I know you like poking fun at New Zealand. But how about doing a story comparing NZ's COVID-19 response to Trump's? In a few weeks we will we be at Alert Level 1, i.e. normal domestic economic activity. All businesses operating and only border restrictions in place. We will also have zero new cases, zero active cases and zero new deaths. From a population of 5 million we will have had about 1500 cases and 22 deaths. On a per head of population basis that is the equivalent of 98,400 cases in the USA with 1,440 deaths. From first case to elimination - 4 months. Beat that Trump!
