This is not just aToyota problem. It's a complexity problem. The more complex the vehicle in terms of drivetrain, electronics, computers, luxury items, the more quality issues will arise. It happened with Mercedes in the late 90's. BMWs, VW. Even Honda quality dropped when the bells and whistles increased.

Toyota & Honda. Your quality went down considerably when you brought the manufacturing process to America to avoid tariffs. However, for some reasons American manufacturing lacks the Quality Control that Japanese Manufacturing still has in place. All of these recalls and engine & transmission problems are coming from vehicles made in America, not Japan. WHY IS THAT??? Has American auto manufacturing which used to be top quality now become third world quality?? Just asking.

You should read more about engine torque and efficiency. The V8 is one of the least efficient designs in automotive history. Instead of thinking about impressing hot rod guys, consider the economical and reliability possibilities. A 2 liter 3 cylinder engine in a 2000 pound compact FWD truck would get 45mpg and have a range no Tesla will come close to. We haven't ever had a correct car industry because EPA didn't have enough influence. Influence from actual engineers. Let go of the V8 fantasies. It's kinda on the verge of a rainbow 🌈 golf clubhouse group showers kinda thing to still obsess about V8 and big displacement.

Employment is strong. Because an industry slows and lays off people doesn’t mean the economy is weak. Other industries are growing. Adapt or die in a free market economy. Unfortunate for some for sure.

Bought a ‘24 4Runner TRD ORP. Peak Toyota. Simple, reliable, and will last me 20 years with good maintenance. Hate to see what’s happening with the newer Gen trucks.

7:55 So why don't they put a simple 3 speed manual transmission in electric cars? If you could drive 1st gear to 65 but up shift to lower RPM's, that seems like a good thing.

The way the oil market has always worked is having not enough oil, even just a little, causes a major increase in prices. And just a little too much oil causes the price to crash.

I got a 2024 prius le, the car is essentially the same as prior models. Very small differences in the motor and hybrid system. Also a bigger battery with 10 year warranty from toyota. Cant go wrong with a taxi car 😂

Scotty, long time viewer, have enjoyed your videos. Ok, what’s the deal, you just did a video on the tundra and gave it a positive review, you said great things about the tundra. This video was one year ago, now you’re saying that v6 is no good. What if I bought a Tundra a year ago based on your positive review, and now your video would make me kick myself for buying this car, what’s the deal?

Scotty, I took your advice and bought a 2022 Toyota Tacoma because it was the last one with the V6. I did not want the two turbo four-cylinder. Do you know of any issues that I might have with this truck? Thanks a lot for all your hard work, sir.

Got a 2023 v6 .. have a weird noise (rattle/knock) along some vibration that happens time to time very concerning. dealer can’t recreate the issue .. says it’s fine. seems to happen when going uphill and when gently accelerating but I can’t recreate it either just happens. Another thing less worry-some .. is the gear hunting but seems to get better over time maybe getting used to drivers patterns.
