@@pleasetakecareoftheearth7627 I wonder why? Were they being forced to give up? Now the brand shifts to making smartphone products and I find this decision very ridiculous......

It wasn't profitable for the mother company in China, anymore (oppo digital was USA subsidiary for high-end decks). So they closed it and concentrated themselves only in smartphone products, in mainland China. But if you are interested, they still sell clones of 203, drm free (without the disc player). They are cheap and well made, indeed.

I add... Why not profitable? They sold their units for TOO CHEAP price! A great example was the Lexicon scandal. It was a Bdb-83 sold under a different chassis but at 7x times! 3500€ instead of 500? In short, that means that other high end brands can survive thanks only to their big margins. Oppo was against this policy and and then died.... It was a beautiful dream but it's over. At least I'm happy to own a 203 that I paid 619+89€ for the region-free chip from Denmark. A other brand would ask me for sure 4,000€ for the same quality!!!
