Power is always dangerous; it attracts the worst and corrupts the best. All experiments in power have a bad ending. The problem with this country is power. The #root of all evil is the quest for power. Whoever has power is going to try to control people. Only the weak seek power. You only need power when you want to do something harmful, otherwise love is enough to get everything done. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely, and the list goes on and on.

I got so used to not being taken seriously and having no power in childhood that when I grew up I was so unconscious of how much damage I could cause to the people who do care and love me. Good topic. "With Great power comes great responsibility." I think The danger and the imbalances occurs when people deny power to avoid responsibility. But then opportunist are the ones that mostly take the power to also avoid their own responsibility. Then Others are the ones that have to be made responsible for the consequences unfairly. Without having any benefit from it. That's why power might seem bad for some. Power is good. Let opportunist abuse their power not so good. I guess.

So good! “Stepping into your power” is one of the most important things a person can do. I’ve never heard anyone say anything negative about that sentence. It should be proof that we all seek power. It’s a good way to look at it. It’s a cycle though. Being conscious of this state is something that requires vigilance and awareness.

There is a word for people publicly denying and condemning power to promote their moral superiority: "virtue signalling" We are experiencing a rather aggressive onslaught of ideologists who consider the very existence of power as evil so their purpose is the dismantling of "structures of power, people of power, nations of power, races of power, anything that has to do power, although these are the very people that hold power. Not only they cement their own power by virtue signalling but the implementation of those ideas that completely deny the existence of (human) nature will naturally bring oppression and major confusion.
