Genuinely surprised that Cerberus wasn’t mentioned as a choice for the Magical team for either Support or for Solo. While Fafnir does have good shred, Cerberus 2 would be a massive boom for a purely Magical orientated team as it provides quite a load of magical protection reduction at up to 51. Not to mention but Cerberus has been rising quite a bit into the meta ever since its terrible clear had been patched up with the gems now being relevant.

I once coaxed my team of randoms into picking all guardians, we had Bacchus, Ymir, Atlas, Kuzembo and Charon. Hilariously, we won by a huge margin. This video of "All magicals" made me think of this game I once played.

I remember I queued into an enemy of all hunters. I can't remember 2, I just know there was a Medusa, Cupid, and Izanami. This happened in season 8. I vaguely remember our team chat, we all basically said, "we either lose super hard and or win super hard". We won, that I remember lol.

My squad runs all hunters fairly often in non-conquest modes. You have to play a bit passive in the beginning. Once you hit level 10 you start snowballing. Though it's really hard to play if the enemy goes double assassin.

Honestly, I’d rather have Thoth than Mori.. the magic team has 2 stealths into a team with multiple dots. I get where morigan might be good out of JG, but without a big dmg threat out of mid, no way mori is gonna be able to make a difference with those transformation targets

You should get some of your friends, or viewers to put your theory crafting to the test. Just pick people with somewhat similar ranks, make a lobby, have them play your picks. Best 2/3.

I don't like the way this was structured. Its too dependent on which team has more shred in the god kits when utility is completely ignored. Ganesha has a very long silence that could make those abilities that shred almost useless or at least mistimed. Xing Tian has that 50% BA debuff and a lot of CC that could make the hunters have so little damage output that their shred doesn't matter. Fafnir was a bad pick for this, even though he is still a solid god, he just doesn't have as much utility as some others. Ollrun has that ult that can be very good at objectives which was ignored. I honestly think the physical team was good but would switch out the ADC for a hunter with a little more focus on BAs like Rama or Hachiman. The magical team I would switch out Chrono for Olorun, Fafnir for Xing Tian, and might change Hades for Artio. Hades has a solid solo lane he is one that could stay, I'd prefer Artio with the more CC pressure.With Olorun you'd have more objective pressure and with Xing Tian you'd have a lot more utility along with an amazing beads burner to set up Ao Kung or the Morrigan. I still think the physicals will win but the magicals would be have a lot more chance.

The way i see it, horus just builds normal support build save for prophetic and their objective tanking is just fine, then they just have to play normally and they get to do normal smite team comp things, maybe target the morigan but even that is optional imo. The magical team has to do this that and the other things just to keep up with what the physicals get to do for free

Im with these other comments. You should make a community post or your discord to get people who want to be apart of these. You could spectate and commentating over the match. Or play with them if you have enough EU players. I loce your content and this is something I would LOVE to see! Keep up the good work man.

Yeah I think running a custom lobby to test it out would be a great add to the video, something to keep in the mind for the future! Personally I think the magic team wins, all structures dealing physical damage is a huge boost for the magic team. They grab an emperors armor and with the physicals having 2 ability hunters and very little physical defense it will be almost impossible to siege, meanwhile you have the chronos split push potential and Hail Mary morrigan plays I think if they play the objectives right and don’t take risky fights then they have the advantage

Honestly i think this is a fun thought experiment, i think right now you would go an aggressive support such as atlas with is shred, i think freya is just good right now and kills full tank anyway, cerb solo gives you plenty of constant tank shred, you put morri jungle so you still get your magic damage and youre execute and merlin mid he gives you shred and has good long range cc and poke to him that youre missing. On physicals i do think you do horus support it just is the best, but i think marti goes mid, you use a more traditional adc ao you get exe and qins fairly well maybe chari she has prot shred safety and applies exe and qins well with here auts, youre jungle i think u go nem she is the tank shred bot for a jungle and honestly is just very strong, and solo is still achilles, he still.has good phys prots to tank towers with his passive and the exe that doesnt care about prots os pbviously just great.

Gladiator's shield would be insane on the magical team's support and solo. They'd already be building lots of defense, which would lead to more damage from gladiator's shield (which does physical damage). You mentioned the factors like the magical team building midgardian mail, emperor's armor, and things like that. Now, the physical solo and possibly support would likely build items like manticore's spikes, flameforged hammer, animosity, or thorns. Granted, either side could get mystical mail or contagion, but I don't know if it would be worth it. Getting the wrong protection type for a void defense item might actually be worth it, though. Honestly, I don't know which side I would give this to. Usually, I only see 5 of one damage type in either Assault (with unlucky rerolls) or 5 of one character in a MotD.

Replace Fafnir with Cerberus and I'd think the magicals win 7 times out of 10, would obviously come down to player skill but the diversity and utility of the morrigan, plus the fact the magic team has much more/better CC abilites (except for horus ofc, respect the bird boi) I think the magical team would do better than you'd espect. The next step is to get 10 nerds together and do a best of 5 matches with these loadouts :D

It also depends on the players. Will a support throw because they got support and nobody wanted to trade? Did the adc sit in fountain writing a book because they are 0-2 4 minutes in because no wards? Did physical team get anti heal? It all depends but I'm going with physical

Theres 1 huge glaring issue with that magical team. Dont they just get steamrolled by thana, amc, horus and achilles? I mean chronos, morrigan, ao kuang, fafnir is heavy ass backpack just a hades to carry tgrough the first 25 minutes of the game

I feel like the magical team would be much better with Cerberus solo for the built in anti heal and 50~ish prot shred. Change the adc for Sol which, to my knowledge, is currently much better than Chronos if you build her damage with only the shred ring And they'd do much better

You could actually do something similar but it only works up to 4v4, not 5v5. Also, you cannot off-role pick in conquest. I remember I did a custom match of 4 poseidon vs 4 poseidon conquest, all cpu were level 20 from the start full build. I was Clio with all hp items hiding in the wall, spectating as close as I can. I wanted to see where the cpu would go if there were more mages. They all went to mid. It was amusing for a few minutes watching 8 Krakens explode in mid. Oh! My friend and i did like a my manager type match. We both went to joust, and pick 1 god for the cpu and bet who would win like it was a boxing of ufc fight. A few ideas maybe you could try??

Assault isn't the best because most quality healers are magical and magical lifesteal works differently than physical. Though, there are better physical prot items so that's also in magical favor. 😊

Assault is different than conquest. A mage like Zeus throwing out a ranged area effect ability from behind 2 guardians and running back half a meter to the tower is very different to accidentally running into a hunter in the jungle or facing off with a warrior in the solo lane.

That only works in assault cause you can't back, can't flank, and don't have any objectives. All magical teams works in assault cause you can just sit under your tower. Also why assault is a terrible game mode.

That matchup was crazy biased. 😂 phys def on magical means they can seige better while their physical counter parts cannot. Don't try to quantify a characters value based on their strength in the scenario. Just pick genuinely strong characters like you did for the physicals. Your best case scenario perspective isn't taking how bad the team synergies are as well, which is a more important factor. You chose to sabotage the magical team when you could have given them healers to take advantage of aura stacking and sustain where the physicals are poor at. 5/10 content, put more thought into it.

The magical team just doesn't really stand a chance. Physical damage items are just so much better than magical damage items. Even though magical defense items aren't good. Both protection items are still really good. Smite has had multiple seasons with 4 physical damage and a guardian support as meta. There hasn't even been a all magical meta.

Current meta is moronic, Hades is a better as a jungle than a solo lane. Now for your picks, Morgan is a trash mid. She has barely any clear n would also be closer to an assassin imo. i don't think your mage team makes any sense or has good overall team comp just cause they're all decent in their own right. Mostly close to mid-range gods outside Chronos. how the hell does Morgan have any chance controlling mid over amc come on they aint killing nobody if they cant farm their lanes. Bruh physical is the one actually at a disadvantage everything towers/ Phoenix titian minions and obj all do physical damage, meaning if they stack physical defense they have a much easier time. your teams are highly unbalanced imo and that not cause their isnt better options

Just off top of my head i can make a team with way better comp Poseidon carry Ares support Hades solo (while i said its a dumb meta it still works n with this team would destroy) Morgan jungle Olorun mid all will fair well in there own lanes n roles and wreck in team fights

Notes: Your team is relying on too much single target with nemesis, horus, thanatos. they also have the downside of nemesis and horus either needing to use one of their two movement options to go in and immediately use the second to get out of the fight isn't favorable which allows the enemy team to turn and run it down back at you. safety poke is moreso what i'm going for while maintaining good teamfight synergy. ADC: Anhur 20 flat prot reduction on 1 auto Support: Ne zha ring bounce 13 prot shred per bounce (i can't find reliable info on how many times it can stack if it can at all. (this is more reliable and widespread shread than horus's 2) Mid: Martichorus as you said marti facilitates this team well but i'd rather him be in mid where he's more impactful. Jungle: weird pick with this one i know but greycorn (double 2 acorn) rat. bruiser jungle build more akin to a solo build. while he only steals physical prots it is still useful to add yet another reliable 24 prot shred. Solo: First one i struggled with picking because i was stuck between Shiva, Tyr, or KA. in the end i decided Shiva for his 25 prot shred on destruction stance 1 30% AS debuff/buff on his 2 block stacks for his allies on bliss stance 3 and his ult for versatile teamfight damage/healing as well as any counter to possible shields. In all honesty this pick could've gone to KA or even achilles for the execute reason but this comp specifically has the benefit of having a really strong engage, backfoot and both siege and antisiege capabilities. As for them building defense... well. doing the math with everything going off anyone who gets hits by just the AOE reductions like flurry, ring bounce, shiva that is a 62 prot reduction followed by 20 from whoever anhur decides to pepper down and the 24% prot reduction from martichorus. slapping % pen onto the hunters can even the fully defense stacked tanks are going to be only really benefitting from around 150 prots at most (can't remember the formula off the top of my head but this is assuming it goes reduction then %pen instead of the other way around.
