All Possible Voice Messages With the Child Check-Mate System | 2016 Thomas Saf-T-Liner C2

Back by popular demand, here is a video I've been meaning to put out for a while now. This was done on my bus and I must say the Theft-Mate theft deterrent message with the old voice is much more intimidating than with the newer male voice. Although for some reason I prefer the newer male voice for the Child Check-Mate messages.

There is one voice message that is left out, that is the one that says "Warning! Rear door opened." As far as I'm aware, the Thomas Saf-T-Liner C2s don't have the emergency buzzer wired in with the CCM system like on the IC CEs so it can't detect when an emergency exit is opened.

Also my second question is what does Child Checkmate Self Check Confirmed mean? How does one do a self test? Just use all the functions like you did in the video?

Self check happens once the brake input has been activated. It's only a thing on the older version.

When every input has been activated it will play that message to confirm (ignition,activation,brake input)

I love when it says "Please Conduct your Child Search Now" and "Charter Mode has been activated" Thank you for also showing us Diagnostic Mode with the Voice Prompts. I do have a Question though. When you did the Air Brake Test on the IC it said "Please Conduct your Child Check Now and Welcome First Student Child Checkmate. Was that a new update besides the new male voice or was it just for that test bus?

That bus was running an older version of CCM. CCM is also not exclusive to First Student as I've seen other school bus departments use it.

@@BusMaster99 Great and Thanks for the info. Loved this system since my Bluebird Vision used it. Also one day the Alarm went off while on route and I was the only one to jump out of their seat, Run to the back and hit the button. Everyone laughed afterwards and I enjoyed pressing the button and hearing it say "Child Checkmate is now Deactivated"

Hello Fellow Bus Enthusiast here and I would like to know when is Diagnostic Mode available? Like does it get programmed each time you use it or do you have to re enter that mode each time?

You would have to re-enter that each time. It times out after a few minutes.

Yes, it deactivates it for a few hours.
