Matsuri was the better shot but Pekora had superior strategy & tactics. MatsuMiko were playing it like straight FPS- call out enemy movement & others adjust accordingly, which would've worked if ALL their teammates were experienced FPS players too. Pekora played it like a war game. Better use of prep time & base building, called decisive, quick-to-carry orders (even newbies can follow), better use of combined arms (that smoke-nade clearout, rocket ) & clutch tactical assessment. We joke about Peko being a war criminal, but she really showed to be a pretty good war strategist here with her leadership and quick decision making lol Knowing when to attack, retreat, and defend and being able to relay that to her team clearly, really good marksmanship, utilizing all her tools like that smoke and grenade combo, and of course, chucking that last C4 when she quickly realized that healing won't be an option. Props to her teammates as well (especially Koyo and Shuba) for listening to orders, properly assesing their situation, and asking her when they don't know what to do.

Matsuri's team did a great job on defending, but as expected the longer they stand, the base durability won't stand forever and chose to attack I like when Pekora find their base got penetrated, she give only two choice, we defend or go all out and the fact they did the latter, she didn't want to lost their advantage, because enemy's base already penetrated earlier if only the traps was still there tho xd Subaru fps character development was real too, even tho there's some explosive accidents, how Subaru made a way for Pekora to barge in was awesome, and that last Pekora revive was really big help I like Pekora thrown C4 soon after revived, and secure the victory and too much happening to point out So on, so on It was blast event, thanks for every party involved 👏👏👏

Its basically if they defend the only possible outcome is a draw or a loss. They could leave some people behind to defend but with the opponent already pinned down it was the right decision. Lots of enemies dead at the same time means its easier to attack and apply pressure, esp since after reviving they will have to go and arm themselves before they can defend. And both teams were running out of ammo at the end.

Flare really improved alongside Subaru as well. She's gone on record as the type who really dislikes killing and betraying her friends, which is why she almost never joins Among Us collabs. She's only overcome it in Rust for a month thus far and she's already on the winning team of the biggest war of the series.

While Miko definitely had a lot of PON moments in this. I think people and the clips are underselling her contribution in her team. After Matsuri she was probably Team Boar's 2nd best player. @@MKDC-5 they didnt divide the tasks properly during building time i think. Also pekora knows the map so she knew where to go. Matsuri's team advantage was high ground and they used it to properly defend their base. Problem was they needed to attack and when miko and matsuri attacked no one in their team could be trusted to defend. In the end i dont think the mats mattered much because even if the mats changed the teams wouldve still used the same amount of c4 to go through to the tc (sheet metal door can be destroyed by 1 c4 so it might as well be stone, matsuri wrongly attacked the wall instead of the door). And both teams also ran out of time finishing their bases.

What I learned from this Rust FPS: Matsuri carry. Luna is just cannon fodder. Unlike Gura, Pekora knows how to throw grenades so they don't fall back on herself and her teammates. Surprisingly, Miko is NOT the most PON. Also we can always depend on Subaru for great sound effects.
