It is important to know that the French audience is not comparable to the English, Spanish or Portuguese ones because of their "limited population" (still in comparison) and the fact that internet started being really popular around 2013 (for the "geeks" back in the days) and even more so (I'd say nationally) only very recently around 2017. KZbinrs like Aypierre and Antoine Daniel were pioneers in their content category and are considered the "OG" because they're the guys that made their things popular. When I see Rubius that has now 40+M followers on KZbin, it's crazy to me. We could never have that in France. The top KZbinr in France, Squeezie, is known in the whole country and is a French icon to our generation. Wanna know how many subscriber he has ? 18M. The top French KZbinr has 18M subscribers on KZbin. Which is why you may think "Oh, they're not that popular" seeing the french guys so "low" in this video, but it really isn't like that. You have to think scale-wise, you know ? Plus as a fellow french guy explained in another top comment, they all moved to Twitch so KZbin isn't even really their thing anymore/or never was to begin with (like Baghera). I hope this can help y'all understand why they are "so low" !

@@godot4898 Internet populaire en 2013 ? Déso mais tu délire. J'ai eu internet en 2005, comme 30% des français, soit 18 millions de personnes à la louche. Je ne pense pas qu'on puisse parler de "cercle assez fermé". L'écart de sub observé ici est uniquement du à la taille maximale du public et au désintérêt qu'on nos français pour Yt.

The numbers for the French streamers seemed so wrong to me until I realised this only counted youtube. Baghera, Kameto and Etoiles only use youtube for their vods and best ofs. They also started pretty late. Meanwhile, Antoine and Aypierre used to be pretty big on youtube (especially Antoine) but moved on from the platform all together. Not to mention that French content has a more limited audience compared to English, Portuguese and Spanish

We can clearely see the difference in the type of content each streamer did throughout the years ! -Aypierre is the oldest French CC, and he made his debut on the french speaking YT for minecraft back when minecraft was King. But since french audience is limited, the numbers can't compare to other languages such as spanish. He also pivoted towards streaming instead of YT around 2015, so his YT went on the back burner more or less. His specialty is mostly Technical minecraft, and redstone. He was basically the godfather of all minecraft/tech french YTbers at the time. He also created with other CC a series called Feed the patrick, which was an SMP on Feed the beasts modpacks that would gather huge crowds back in the day. He's without a doubt one of the most knowledgeable CC in the QSMP regarding MC. -Antoine Daniel, is also an OG, he used to make content like what Ray william Jhonson would do, which worked like crazy back in the day. As the year went by he made a bit more Fiction in his vids, but he somewhat entered depression due to the immense pressure he would recieve for his next videos. He took a huge 'gap year' and started streaming on the side, without telling his YT audience. So he made a new name of himself on Twitch and re-became insanely popular (for french standards of numbers..) And he's now clearely one of the biggest streamers in france, with on average 15k viewers on his streams. Also he's really good at Geoguessr, and even hosted a world cup once. -Kameto is an odd number. Originaly a League of legends Pro in lower french leagues, he started streaming and became popular because of his bold personality. He never focused on YT if i remember correctly. He was part of a streamer House called eclypsia, which was very big in france at the time. He created his esports team Kcorp, and he's now one of the biggest french influencers. He's Ibai's rival even though Ibai outnumbers Kameto by a lot, which i find funny. -BagheraJones, She started streaming pretty late and never really focused of YT either as Twitch was her main platform. SHe participated in Zevent, where she met a lot of the streamers here. She became very popular in france mostly with the GTA RP server made by Zerator in which her character Antoine croute ( with her brother, Daniel croute, played by Horty_) had lots of adventures with the character that Antoine Daniel played. Nowadays, she is a fairly big streamer, and every monday she and some other streamers (including Antoine and Etoiles) play random games. -Etoiles, is the werid one(not derogatory). Originaly he was a Minecraft UHC player that would be featured in other minecraft streamer's streams, but he eventually made his channel. He would do minecraft, but eventually stepped away from the game to do other stuff. He gained very big popularity during the pandemic but since he sucked at taking care of his YT channel, his success was only on twitch at the beginning. He would play TV game shows on streams, one called Question pour un champion, which is a pretty hard game show in france. His focus on Culture/knowledge/learning was quite novel on twitch, nowadays he's open to play anything (mainly smash bros), and he started really playing minecraft again during last Year. He also made some streams in Museums, which is why he labels himself a museum streamer, even tho he's a huge nerd. He also recently won the Content Creator Smash bros Summit!

Jaiden had more success on KZbin early on. Mainly all of the other English-speaking members of the QSMP got a lot of their success from Dream SMP. Jaiden along with Fitmc, Dantdm and Quackity were the only members I knew before DSMP and QSMP

For Antoine, it can be weird to see that he losts subscribers since 2021 but it's because it's his old channel on that video (when he wasn't streaming). He stops uploading on it and he has other channels for Twitch best of and VOD now. His new channels have less subscribers than " MrAntoineDaniel " but it still increase !

I only started watching QSMP with the arrival of French, have all of these guys played at least once since ? Cause I didn"t know half of them were on the server, namely Rubius/Dan/Tazer/Luzu etc...

Since the arrival of french creators only Rubius played once, and that's probably because they left in the early days of the servr because the community got toxic with the eggs. Tazercraft is very active on the server tho, Missa doesn't tend to stream too much, Dan has a kid and if I'm not wrong his chanel if family friendly, Wilbur is a musician and has a band, Luzu had an event of box and he also has kid, Kameto no idea, Spreen left because of the ships and eggs and Rubius too

Kameto has 20k average viewers on Twitch, Rubius/Cellbit 30k. It's easy to have more subscribers on some platforms because there are more peoples speaking the langage, but I don't think it really represents the number of peoples REALLY following you, and involved in what you are doing. I remembered Kameto posting a "RATIO" to Rubius on Twitter. Currently Kameto has 300k like on this post, and Rubius only 333k on his, despite the 21M subscribers on Twitter. I think those numbers are more logical with the number of average viewers watching them, and that the average viewers data make more sense.

He never really changed his way of making video since the beginning, he still has a lot of people watching his video (in France more than 1 millions is really a lot) so kids that like fast videos with a lot of cuts and all are not really into it. He is also focused on technique aspect of the game such as redstone, engineering mods or news about bugs in etc... Also most of the French creators don't really care a lot about KZbin nowadays, twitch is their main platform, that's why Kamet0 is on the bottom of this list but is the one with the most viewers per stream in this French community.

@@pikoche6406 Well things technically did change, however Aypierre stopped growing fast when Minecraft was starting to lose popularity before the new generation came and as his old crew mostly left, and then well, he was already too old to properly mingle with everyone especially the youth that makes up the majority of wiewers, a similar case to the former Minecraft CC Bob Lennon and TheFantasio974 where their channel essentially stopped growing once their style of humor just didnt match what was popular no more eventhough litteraly everyone in the French KZbin gaming knows and respect them (well the CC at least) because they were the one to mainly introduce minecraft to the french masses

This video made me realize; Rubuis seems to be on QSMP. Haven't see him since our frenchies joined, so never realized he was there. And kinda glad I haven't see him, don't like this guy. I don't really know other communities than ours but for now, every non-french streamers/youtubers I dicovered was cool and funny (big up to brazilians, they're those that make me laugh the most), but actually, every single time I see Rubius or every single time I hear about him, he seems so despicable... Maybe seeing him playing on QSMP will change my mind, but absolutely not sure about this...

But actually, considering the 2 or 3 events I saw him (and 2 or 3 time there was problems he was involved in) I would be surprised that only frenchies don't like him. Does he still play on QSMP?
