Aw, Maya is a mummy’s girl❤. How amazing to have this relationship. That pond will be overflowing after the big wet coming our way over the weekend. I’m sure you’ve got it covered for the next few weeks flying solo with the pups and a ton of jobs to do. Take care.

Hi Lisa, She was the one taken last year when the dogs attacked the chickens and somehow came back unharmed, how I just don't know. So yes, she will always be my special little lady. I only hope its not as much rain, that was a huge amount over those four days.

Yes, I remember how fraught you were Barbara after that dog attack. Sunday and Monday’s forecast is for persistent rain unfortunately. At least today was gorgeous😊.

This rain is an opportunity to look after yourself! Rest, give your pupps cuddles make some marmalade...indoor shores are as rewarding then outside ones! Hopefully this will be one of the last storms....I would rather have snow. If you need help just give us a ring!

Thanks Eve. With all this weather, I'm going to try orange curd again, first batch was ok but a little grainy so not very successful(still edible though). Pups are getting plenty of cuddles and attention, they are like large hot water bottles......lol.

Hope you are ok with the pups Barbara. Can I ask about your UK truck please? When you arrived a year ago, did you insure your UK truck with a PT insurer? If so, I assume it's ok to drive it, as you have a year to matriculate it? (We are driving over to PT in our car in April - not sure if we want to keep it yet, but initially we will want to use it) Thank you

Hi Sarah, you can insure a UK registered car in Portugal with a company called Abbeygate based in Lisbon. Then you can decide whether to matriculate it. The insurance covers me for 90 days in UK as well. Thanks Justin

I know it doesn't seem right, but it is a nice healthy treat for them when we have an excess of eggs, especially with the dried crushed shells. It's not something we do often. It took me a while to start doing it, just like it took me a month before I would eat the eggs........felt guilty eating them! lol
