I was surprised with all the IDW references including Wither roses being infected metal flowers, mecha sonic starting and ending the wither fight with scrapnik colors, and even even zombified mobs bring metal virus infected. Also the nether star is Mecha’s Eye it is not crab meat claw, even though he is summoned by using a bunch of old robot parts like scrapnik.

He doesn't have the crab claw or saw wheel foot in this pack, but his shoulder pads appear to be made of the previous Mecha Sonic models. Note the blue visor piece on one of his shoulder pads (from Mecha mk 0, aka "Silver Sonic" from Game gear Sonic 2), and the opposite having a set of curved razor blades (Mecha Mk 1 from Genesis Sonic 2) it likely also ties back to the wither in the normal game having 3 heads, with Mecha mk2's shoulder pads now being the other 2's heads.

Actually this Mecha Sonic is specifically called the Mecha Amalgamation and is made of tons of parts from older Mecha and Silver Sonic Parts

The zombie reskins are gizoids like Emerl or "Phis" from Sonic Battle although the bots have appeared in Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood and Sonic Advance 3 with the latter's gizoid being Gemerl. There is a set of diamond armor that looks like how a normal gizoid should appear but it seems that the zombie ones have the same broken state problem that the Eggrobos have.

The zombies are gizoid robots clear from the gizoid diamond armor reskin which is interesting if the zombie villagers are meant to a wink to the IDW zombots because Gemerl, a gizoid himself, was immune to the virus because of him already being a machine. Perhaps Robotnik learned from that mistake this time around.

Thanks for making this cool video. Some other things to note: *The Glow Squid is basically a modern design for Octus (which we haven’t seen in the games). *The Guardian is meant to be Pointdexter, not Bubbles *The Phantom could also maybe be Condor from Sonic Advance 3, but I am unsure on that. *I think the Snow Golem is meant to be the Snowman Badniks from Sonic 3D Blast, not the unrelated exploding snowmen also from that game.

If anyone can help, I'm trying to identify the armor. I know that the leather armor is Tails's Blacksmith clothes from Sonic and the Black Knight, the iron armor is based on Silver Sonic/ Mecha Sonic Mk.I, the diamond armor is based on the Gizoids, and the netherite armor is based on the Ancient constructs from Sonic Frontiers. I'm having trouble identifying gold and chainmail, though.

I was hoping you could specifically identify the beds as well as the armor. Most of them are pretty obvious, but a few of them... not so much. I, for one, don't recognize the chainmail, or the brown and lime beds. I played just enough _Frontiers_ to recognize the netherite set as from that game, but I don't know which enemy it's based upon.

To be honest, I don't recognize some of the beds either, maybe they aren't all meant to be referenced. But the lime bed is definitely referencing the Sonic character "Vector the Crocodile".

@@DanielDX Yeah, I figured that out this morning while struggling with sleep. That leaves brown. A friend of mine thinks it could be Sticks the Badger from _Sonic Boom,_ but that doesn't sound very likely; if it is, that would be the pack's seemingly only real reference to _Sonic Boom_ at all. Everything else is drawn from the video games and IDW comics, which I currently understand to share a continuity. It might be a comics character, but without having read them, I couldn't say which one. I'm struggling hard to match it to a video game character; it may be the case that it is a character originating from the games after all, and they were just horribly obscure in the first place. Edit: Oh hey, what if it’s a movie character? The skin pack and world by the same developer included movie references in it, with 4 skins being based on characters and versions of characters seen only in those. Longclaw, Tom “Donut Lord” Wachowski, Sonic and Tails in their snow suits from that one scene in Siberia during _Sonic 2…_ What if the brown bed is Longclaw? Her skin in-game doesn’t have the double chevrons as far as I could see, and her appearance anywhere else doesn’t really have them either, but her _Minecraft_ skin’s color palette matches pretty well, I think, and she’s the only character in the pack that comes anywhere close.

In 2021, the first Sonic collaboration released in Minecraft. Then, in 2022, this Sonic collaboration got an update (Sonic Movie 2 based). And after that, they started to work for a brand new Sonic Texture Pack, which dropped few weeks ago, and Sonic Frontiers was already published.
