Yeah it was like he was showing his true colors. To be honest, Pegasus's monsters were all kind of creepy. Toon dark magician girl looked completely innocent, but the rest were pretty sinister looking, with stuff like shark teeth or freaky eyes.

I was and is still baffled by the ritual summon requiring a monster of at least one or more stars. That's every monster right? Making Relinquished summon easier than ever. Back when I played it was very much still the recess meta so your pal just tributed 2 monsters to summon blue eyes and you just tribute whatever is on your field and ritual summon Relinquished and take over the Blue Eyes and they're fucked.

⁠@@LuwiigiMaster Hell yeah they do. Not as bosses, but they’re great for monster removal. A lot of duelists will equip opponent’s monsters then use Relinquished/Restrict as link material so opponent’s monster goes straight to the GY. Millennium Eyes Restrict is especially popular cause it yoinks monsters as a response to their effect then negates. I’ve seen Eldlich players get bodied by Millennium Eyes once it yoinks their golden boy

The duel Atem/ Yugi vs Pegasus is seriously a masterpiece and very genius in my opinion, despite the meme direction that the anime has gotten over the years and we all like. The 'Light' [silent] magician (Yugi) & the 'Dark' magician (Atem), combine their powers as they upgrade into Black Chaos to achieve justice. The 'Faceless' magician (Pegasus), and the upgrade into knowledge with the cost of loneliness, the despair, the eyes that see everything and paralyze the whole field. The english dub is already epic enough in yu-gi-oh and the music too. But I also remember in the sub, that Pegasus gives off a vibe that he even knows the outcome of the battle and their fate, the exact moment he says "Final turn" before the clash between the chaos begins. That is implied at episode 2 too, when Pegasus explains everything at the start of the journey to Atem, and the moments from the chaos battle (episode 39) appear for some seconds. 4th wall vibes at the whole anime from Pegasus, even at the Orichalcos arc. "Always many steps ahead" as Atem mentioned there. Much respect about the creators and the symbolism behing everything.

The history of mythology shows just how far stories can spread across the world and you don't tell stories you don't like, you don't listen to stories from people you hate and you don't connect with people you have no compassion for. You have no compassion? You're an evolutionary dead-end. For the benefit of humankind, I'd request you get sterilised. All this hostility isnt making sense to me but also it genuinely isnt that deep. Remember this was a manga that was written, restarted, turned into an anime and effectively recreated, then nerfed by 4Kids. AND THEN they realized the card game was super profitable, but needed to be completely revamped mechanically, and therefore rewrote every existing cards and made the rules that still exist to this day. The fact that Yugioh is still loveable despite all this utter nonsense and bullshit means that there's still something here, but it isnt all *that* lol
