The reason hole in one sounds so weird is because hole in one 2 was transposed a tritone, the most dissonant interval, relative to the first one. The result is that they sound really crunchy when played together

interestingly, this is how I found out that my left phone speaker is playing significantly quieter than my right one! i have to cover the right one for the volumes to be equal. i think there might be a setting to adjust L/R balance? but yeah. very weird!
