A lot of these tests are flawed, granted the Exynos 2200 is not good as we all expected but people need to take in to consideration it's *new* so many of these apps & games aren't as optimized for it as yet, so playing particular games like Genshin which are much more optimised for the other SOC's doesn't show or mean anything. iPhone has less phones so developers have less phones to work with so can easily optimize apps/games for them, Android phones come with so many different SOC's so it's much more work, as for Qualcomm SOC's that have a similar existing architecture to the previous generation the developers don't need that much extra work to optimise games/apps for them, as for the previous gen Exynos 2100 it had much more time to be worked on so that explains that. No one buys a phone to just play Genshin, the playing field should be level, there's so many factors you have to take in to consideration, yes the Exynos 2200 is underwhelming but no way is it bad as it's made out to be, many people these days with their crowd/group mentality go with whatever what others say & in the tech world such narratives spread like wildfire. I agree we should all get the same SOC across the board Samsung fully deserves the criticism for that, that's valid but the over the top hate for the Exynos 2200 is absolutely ridiculous.

I think Samsung Fabs are just not very good and why Qualcomm goes with Samsung I worry about as it is likely because Samsung charges them less. That means Qualcomm are happy giving their customers sub-par chips? I heard that OEMs have told Qualcomm to sack Samsung Fabs but Qualcomm have their own agenda and maybe the cheaper Samsung fabs means more money? It will be interested when TSMC SD8G1+ arrive to see what the level of blame sits between Samsung Fabs and Qualcomm’s chip designs? Apple no doubt has looked at the SD8G1 and decided that the A15 can still be used in the iPhone 14 as they remain 2-3 cycles ahead of the Samsung made chips.

@@andyH_England dude it ain't about the money. It's due to tsmc silicon shortage they can't keep up with the demand of the fab. They already mass produce for apple and some other pc cpu companies despite the chip shortage and they just can't extend the supply to qcom as of right now. Even Qualcomm knows samsung fab is crap. They are planning to launch the 8 gen 1 plus with tsmc. Hopefully it's better but I'm not too sure coz they are still using the power hungry x1 core

Here we go again ... I think it is time to start testing other games? I think I wrote the same thing over 51 times by now, Genshin is no longer a valid benchmark tool for measuring a phone's (SOC's) performance (game is better optimised for iOS and mihoyo doesen't care to improve android version) reason being - Heavily unoptimized and broken game, it does NOT use the GPU to the fullest on average 50% (50% for 60fps) on a 2 year old flagship. (I heard its using a CPU emulated GPU for a lot of phones while onboard is mostly idle. CPU cores have to do the graphics task resulting in waste of battery) You can literally see the voltage going all over the place, it doesen't utilize a stable % it goes 0% to random percentages all the time you simply cannot expect stable fps with such a broken game. If the usages were stable voltage would be stable as well. Trying 1 game out and claiming "bad chipset, bad phone, bad performance" is biased and misleading. We dont get to see how the hardware behaves, we dont know the usage. If the game doesen't use your hardware you can't expect it to run well. If you wish to make your tests valid show us: 1) GPU/CPU utilisation 2) CPU/GPU Internal temperature (Measuring phone's exterior temperature is pointless and misleading) 3) Test actual GPU demanding games utilising the available hardware to its full potential To make it easier to pick multiple games for the test I will give a list of several highly optimised games for a wide range of SoC's: 1) Shadowgun Legends - supports 120fps 2) World of Tanks Blitz - runs on Vulkan 120fps 3) PUBG New State - supports Vullan 90/120fps 4) Apex Legends Mobile 5) Alien Isolation 6) CoDM 7) Black Desert Mobile 8) Wild Rift 9) Punishing gray raven 10) Grid Autosport Now some upcoming games 1) Tower of Fantasy 2) Diablo Immortal 3) Project Snow 4) Aether Gazer 5) Arknights: Endfield 6) Battlefield Mobile 7) Code: Mirage 8) Project Stars Thats a pretty lenghty list indeed but all these games actually use the available hardware as much as they can on both Exynos, Kirin, Mediatek and Snapdragon SoCs And are a much more valid test of actual performance

A mistake he made in the video is saying that there is no improvement between the exynos 2200 and 2100. It is not right at all, looking at the fps variance result the 2200 is the most consistant with only a 33 per cent variance whereas the other 3 socs are around 77 per cent. The exynos 2200 is the one who manages to deliver the most consistant framerate and that is something that should be appreciated and underlined since higher is better but more consistant is best as some say in regards to framerate.

It’s really not about optimisation. The power consumption is huge. Throttling occurs very quickly. Any game that pushes the chip will get it to throttle severely and thus drop performance.

Decent. It's better than the Exynos 2100 because it's more stable, with less stutter and frame stays more consistently in the 30 FPS range, while the Exynos 2100 goes from 40 to 20 FPS.

God damn again Samsung.. Why!!! They are not optimized for gaming even though it has snapdragon chip. They are worse for represent snapdragon stability. Check devices like motorola edge x30 pro, other than Samsung. You will see difference.

I think you should start testing codm and Apex Mobile(can be play with vpn),since those are 2 games that are play by more people than genshin,sure genshin is good for testing phones and so,but end of day its not so popular

not as popular lol it is one of the most popular mobile games in the world, that has broken revenue records no other mobile game has done in history. Not even Nintendo ones or Pokémon so yeah very popular lol. And CoD mobile is not graphicly demanding at all so would make for an awful test, and apex mobile is not even out yet so that would be a horrible test with a game still in beta.
