WOW... Very impressive! Four back-to-back #2 + a second victory the same year he also had a #2! That's a rare achievement! That said, it's too bad that ''L'italiano'' didn't win San Remo. To me, it's his best and catchiest song. There's even a version of it in Portuguese. That's actually how I discovered the song. May he be in peace!

Thank you for uploading so promptly, that's a great homage. We lost a big piece of our music history, yet his ESC entry is one that to this day incarnates the European spirit the best. He was as Italian as he could be and, at the same time, as European he could be (not even to mention the worldwide fame). May we keep up with these ideals of unity he advocated so much for, may the peace come back to all of our beautiful lands and last forever. 🇮🇹🇪🇺🕊️

Wow. Why do you know all this songs from Toto Cutugno? However in 1987 he took to Sanremo, as author, 2 other songs. And in 1990 he sings his song, traslated in English, with Ray Charles who introduce the song in his album. Finally in 2013 in Sanremo, as host, he sings his Song with the Russian Red Army on the stage. Chills!!!

I'm still in great shock, he was one of my 1990 top 3 (with Norway and Belgium) 😢 Rest in peace... Why do some of my Eurovision favourites always leave us... First Valters, then Örs from AWS, then Özkan Uğur and now Toto. HOW -
