Yeah he's more of a tragic villain. Despite being manipulated by Odin and to a lesser extent Sif, the dude is legit intimidating and threatening even if he's the loyal enforcer, thanks to Ryan Hurst's performance. It also helps that the man has gone through so much tragedy you kinda feel sorry for him and maybe if Kratos and Atreus helped him out and worked their ways around like they did with Freya, he would've allied with them. He almost did but it was too late.

We have reason to believe this with Odin disguising himself as Tyr for the vast majority of GoWR to learn about what Kratos and Atreus are doing. He also has displayed a similar level of physical strength to his son with the lifting of Mjolnir.

I love that they comitted to making Thor just *the* biggest guy. Dude's hands are the size of Atreus's f'ing torso. You can also see that, at one time, Thor's love of drink wasn't destructive. Hes the God of Thunder, so propably theres a very high chance Zeus's lightning wont do any effect to him, but Zeus in astral form, without Hope Thor wouldnt have much chance or any at all, especially with someone who has so many regrets and complex personality like Thor. Thor would DESTROY both Hades and Poseidon tho. - Hades , Poseidon ( in his combat form) is BIG - Which is Thor's specialty. - Thor is way too fast for Hades and Poseidon to follow. Honestly I really liked Thor as a character. After his build up in the first game I was expecting some some cocky, arrogant, dudebro who'd constantly shit talk and take advantage of everyone. Instead we get a troubled husband and father doing his best to do right by his wife and daughter, all the while being abused and manipulated by his own asshole father. Odin literally preferred him as a drunk because it made his easier to control and he didn't ask questions. Its kind of a pity we don't get a proper redemption for him, the moment he actually believes he can be something better he dies.

0:30 I’m not sure if everyone noticed this and it was just obvious, but I think Atreus/Loki cut Himdals hand with his last arrow, because blood can be scene on his face after it’s fired, which I just thought was interesting considering Himdals foresight

I was thinking it was mud, considering he got soaked in it, it's likely his arrows and bow had some on it too. I feel like Heimdall would've had a bit more reaction if Loki actually hit him

Thor’s my favorite villain in God Of War Ragnarok. He’s just drunk and miserable without killing anything. His father Odin made him a Destroyer not him. If he wasn’t like this then his life as the God Of Thunder would be so much better. He lost his sons Magni and Modi. The only part of his good side is Sif and Thrud. If Magni and Modi was still alive they probably would have make a good team with Atreus. He loved his sons. He morns them. He just doesn’t show it that much. Thor should kill Odin for the bastard he is. If he had both his hammer Mjolnir and his axe Stormbreaker (like from MCU) he could kill armies of the creatures from the nine realms a hundred times over. It would have been awesome if he wield his axe and hammer in the game

Thor would also be cool if he his axe Stormbreaker. Both Mjolnir and Stormbreaker would make Thor the most dangerous and vengeful god in the Nine Realms.
