Freya just realized that Kratos DID exact his revenge on those that killed his daughter. He destroyed ALL OF OLYMPUS and DEALT EVERY AGONY IMAGINABLE on them. I love the environmental storytelling when Odin confronts Kratos after the spear is made Kratos can be seen openly holding the spear. His intent clear and open while Odin stand in front of and between two spears. Showing that he speaks but hides his intent. That intent always bringing ruin to those in his way. Then, when he speaks about Loki/Atreus he picks up a set of tongs and talks like he's proud of what he's had Loki/Atreus achieve, as if he is a tool to be used. Then he throws the tongs to the side, showing that he has no regard for the things he uses. All the while lying through his teeth. And lying to himself

That scene where Odin poked at Kratos's godhood is ironic. All of Sparta prayed to him for victory, and for salvation when Zeus attacked them. He cared about his people, the Spartans, for his family, both old and new, and his friends. And after he was tricked into killing his wife and daughter he rarely killed without reason. Most of his kills were because they obstructed his quest for revenge.

I believe the case with his powers is that they came from the gods, he even became one via Athena. Once he stabbed himself with the Blade of Olympus, he got them back but because he left his dying world, he lost them, however, he retained anything regarding his body like immortality, increased attributes and healing while Spartan Rage must be a respresentation of his divine nature and more anger= more strength.

One little subtle fact that I love is Surtr’s line about the primordial fire in the Blades of Chaos.
