@ nope, all the info is in the game files just like the other planes, and I can't think of a logical reason so I assume it was some code conflict that never got attention and there is no reason to fix

@@whatever57010 The plane that takes off is still fully functional as intended and the updated version of the game brings two specific changes that cause this oversight to happen. The first is the introduction of new scenario groups known as 'ng_planes', and the second is the limit of only allowing 1 Jet to be naturally spawned at a time (the scenario group, 'ng_planes' ignores this limit when first activating and can spawn multiple Jets, but will not load again until they are cleared from the game. If you spawn your own Jet, you will notice these scenarios never appear until it's despawned). Because of these changes, the scenario area for the planes around the airport is large enough that you will enter this and spawn the 'ng_planes' group before you will ever get close enough to spawn the plane that's taking off, as this still belongs to the airport group. Since you enter this area first, and spawn in the flying planes and landing plane, the game's 1 Jet limit will not allow the taking off plane to spawn in. This is also true for all of the parked Jets that would be present on the original version of the game. There is a way to still see this taking off plane and the parked planes on the updated version, but it is uncommon and has to be done a specific way to avoid the area mentioned. Best done with a helicopter, you have to enter the airport area from the East, near to the hangar where the landing Jet parks, there is an area which has Trashmasters spawn. This area is just outside of the 'ng_planes' group, therefore they won't activate and it will give you a chance to have the original planes spawn in, just like the old version of the game.

lol i think it's prob same system how GTA IV cops are picked i.e it pickes the model loaded in memory (pedgrp.dat/cargrp.dat, exact system isn't used in V tho but it functions similarly in backend C++ code) it's why GTA IV, you can either have thin cops or fat cops, but not both

Movements on NPC planes and helicopters are so janky and not even smooth, plus most of the aircraft routes make no sense: - Private jet landing and parking at the terminal that's meant for commercial airliners. - Military jets can't even land on the center and even taking off from the taxiway. It's clearly that Rockstar never seen how smooth pilots control planes and helicopters in real life. It's funny how Rockstar literally have a vehicles in-game call Ripley and yet are never see pushing or pulling commercial airliners onto the taxiway. In real life, planes get pushed or pulled out by an airport tug, as jet engines would destroy the wall of the terminal building. Rockstar clearly never spend their time watching commercial airliners being pushed or pulled by airport tugs

For those wondering, only a few of these paths made it to online. No planes except the lazer landing and taking off at military base, and the raton canyon pass. In the city there are only a few frogger paths that can be seen. Recently they added damaged aircraft that is scripted to crash land as open world events. Id be interested in how those lines would add up compared to GTA V

This is weirdly convenient and super helpful for me. I've just recently been playing on a new save on an alt account and have been mixing in a bit of RP in public lobbies on my chill time when I'm not grinding out for money. One of the things I do in terms of RP is 1st person flying from airport to airport. Weirdly enough tha 1st one that was shown was moreless the exact same path I take when flying and even though it was a pure guess and I didn't expect planes to go under the bridge and through the canyon, I'm surprised that I'm nearly spot on with it. Edit: it's also fun to see other players at times take a small break and join in with some basic rp as well, following traffic lights and going the correct way when driving, staying within traffic and all that because they see me do it. Nice and wholesome at times with other random players.

What about the unnarmed buzzards that can be sometime seen flying above soutth central LS in the ghetto areas? There's 2 NOOSE agents flying it. I've had a moment where a gunfight between the cops and the ballas attracted the helicopter's attention to the point where the ballas kept shooting the heli until it couldnt power its blades so it lost altitude and hit the ground. The 2 NOOSE agents were armed with normal pistols and they got swept uo by the ballas. That was a pretty cinematic moment, too bad I only have screenshots of it.

Are some of these only story mode activated or only next gen story/online activated? Because I’ve been playing gta online since day 1(ps3 then ps4) but I have never in my life ever noticed the first two or the swifts leaving the N.O.O.S.E HQ. on online I’ve seen the jets/Titan leaving FZ and the froggers flying around the city all in online. I know the giant jumbo jets only spawn in story.

What makes no sense is that when you hold the brakes for more than 2-3 seconds the engine stops. This is not correct, irl the plane engine doesn’t stall, the spoilers deploy to increase drag and slow down the plane. R* should do better than gta vi. The p-996 Lazer is based on the F-16-F-18, hydra AV-8 harrier-F-35. We know that R* has 0 license or rights to implement real vehicles and such but they need to add F-122( F-22A raptor) in gta online.

Hey, off-topic, but since we're talking about vehicles in the game, I've noticed that the rusty tractor (for example, the one you're rewarded after completing the Epsilon Program) makes tire marks on the ground when the wheels are damaged despite not having tires, but plain metal rims.
