Just installed the side railings on a 4dr. Everything fit well and with a buddy only took 30 min for both sides. Customer service was very friendly and provided delivery updates. If they can get a hardtop I would order from them again in a heartbeat.

Love the video. I went with go rhino dominator. Sorry but the wife has to go in and out also so its part step part rockslider. What i woukd really like to see you do is a series on bull bars/ brush guards for thr bronco. Keep in mind not all broncos have the modular bumper. Most items offered now are for that . I have the compatible bumper which has the flip up tow hooks. Keep the vids cranking!!!!

Where's the amp research offerings. I wanted to know if you think the amp research xl will extend too low on the 21fe sasquach or should I go with the standard unit.
@Motoroso2 жыл бұрын
Hey Hugh, the AMP's came out after SEMA '21. We made a separate video about them here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qZ-4mHZ_ipioatk The XL's came out after we released that video. We do cover details of the two in another video, but not in depth. So, long story short, the PowerStep deploys 13" below the doorsill, and the XL drops 3" lower than that. So that'll be your call on which is best for you. Unless you're lifting your Bronco more, most people are just fine with the standard Powerstep. Both options are sold out nationwide (for the last 5 months), but expected back in January for people that place pre-orders. If you'd like to pre-order a set of those, you can use this link: www.motoroso.com/p/2121678-amp-research-2022-ford-rangerbronco-powerstep-side-step-system

Is Rock Slide Engineering planning to weld cover plates on the ends of their step/slider ? The openings make the product look unfinished and allow rocks/mud to get in, possibly jamming the action of the step. Thanks for the full overview of step/slider offerings, very helpful. !
@Motoroso3 жыл бұрын
The ends are sealed, but they are recessed. There's definitely no openings for rocks or mud to get inside and affect the action of the step. These guys aren't messing around, this is the most stout dropstep you can get.

Are there any steps that fit over the factory rock slider?

No sir, would need to be mounted to the pinch weld to be strong enough to support weight. Your OE rock slider is removed, and a new step installed.

Interesting they don't want to use the frame. Almost all of the 4Runner sliders are frame mounted. Mine were and I never had any vibration issues or anything negative. They got a good work out in Moab too, lol.
@Motoroso3 жыл бұрын
We were surprised too, but every manufacturer we saw at SEMA took the same approach.
@mark58622 жыл бұрын
Its simple, the pinch weld is already designed with mounting points for side rails so it makes for a simple drill free installation, and it's plenty strong. Most people don't want to hack into a new $50K vehicle.

Well, if you have the budget for them, the Rockslide Engineering are the best of both worlds. a Rock slider with a 12" powered drop step! They're pricey though, $2199 for the 4-door set. They are built to order with a 6-8 week lead time currently. The Nfab are a good option, has drop steps, and come in well under $500 (~$425 at time of typing this). Not a pure rock slider because it's a dropstep, but the way they're designed, can slide around the drop step. These are in stock and ready to go now! The Expedition One are a really nice option as well, with the stainless steel plate, full running board, and smooth rock slider bar on the bottom side. I am looking into availability and pricing on these now. The Havoc Off-Road or the Westin XTS slider/steps might also be a good option, but they do not have part numbers, or pricing available just yet.
