Wii are pretty easy to fix. All you need is a Phillips and tri-wing screw driver bit in a small size to open it up. Then you can either clean your disk drive or get a replacement

01:15: I used to actually not be able to enter back into my wii menu after the system pause cus the homebrew my brother put on it messed the system up a bit. (which also caused me to have to hold + and - on the wiimote to start the system up instead of just pressing A) But don’t worry. It works fine now. All we had to do was FACTORY RESET THE CONSOLE! But don’t worry. I do have a lot of save and channel data back, and the new homebrew we have installed on it has not messed it up! Thank, god!

I have a lot of nostalgia for the typing sounds and the select one. I think it's because of the Internet Channel. I had wifi only after a few years and I was extremely excited to try all the new things the Wii could do when connected to the Internet, I remember downloading every channel from the "fake" suggestions channels in the menu, the placeholders that were there only to make you know that you could download these channels from the Wii Shop. I was maybe 8-9 and I very probably thought at it as something revolutionary that changed my life XD I also remember the typing sounds for the messages I used to send to my classmate in elementary school after spending days managing to make our Wiis communicate :") Yeah, too bad that last year I bricked my Wii... I will still try my best to unbrick it though, since it's been an important part of my childhood.

You missed a sound effect that i wasn't expecting on here. Its only found on version 1.0 Wii consoles. Basically the Wii Shop Channel, Forecast Channel, and News Channel weren't ready when the system was released so they had to cover it up somehow, and they did that with a channel that said you need to wait till we release this service to use it, and there was a special sound effect when opening the channel from the wii menu
