That Skyward Sword Wii channel was used to fix a game-breaking bug that occured late in the game if you talked to a certain NPC. If you did, other events in the game would never trigger and you would unable to complete the game as a result. That's what that channel was for. It was essentially a 'patch' you had to download from the Wii Shop to fix it.

Iirc, this was the only instance this ever occured where you had to download a patch from the Wii store to fix the game. @@qqjonson1234because the Wii isn’t capable holding game data. It plays the game straight off the disk. It never installs to the system at all. Alright so, coming from someone who worked at a game store for over a year, when you test Wiis you NEED to use a gold disc. Super Smash Bros Brawl is the best example. Gold discs are always the hardest to read and I've come across MANY Wiis in my time that worked perfectly fine with mario kart or wii sports but just absolutely would NOT read a gold disc. Always test your disc drive with gold discs first. That also includes ps2s and backwards compatible ps3s that had to read like 4 different disc colors.

The disc was extremely scratched up, like completely mutilated, but I put it in and it showed up, only to show the “The disc could not be read” message. So I used the ol’ toothpaste trick, and now it works mostly, if the message pops up you just have to try again a couple times. It’s mind boggling how that disc still works, it looks like it was sitting in a bucket of stones!

The Zelda Save Repair channel was to help out with a softlock that happened in "Skyward Sword". Late in the game, when you finish an objective and then talk to a certain NPC, the game's events will not progress and the game becomes unable to continue. Bubble Bobble was originally an arcade game that came out in 1986. I remember playing that in the arcade as a kid. Of course, there was an NES port, which you are seeing on the Wii. There were multiple sequels and alternate versions that came out over the years, with the most recent in 2019! Rainbow Islands is a spinoff of Bubble Bobble. It was a fun game and definitely worth checking out. Lastly, yes, you can transfer your Miis to the Wii U. I've done it when I got a Wii U. That gritty sand is indeed likely from the magic eraser. They really aren't all that magic; they're just really super-fine abrasive pads. If you use one on glossy paint (or molded surfaces) you can see the scratches and gunk it leaves behind. It can be washed off, but that finish will never look anything near new again.

You can transfer you Mii characters from your Wii to your Wii U by storing some on the Wii remote and that's how you transfer them but it won't work if you're Wii or Wii U has the app to do this process deleted
