Absolutely wonderful, as Ray Walkington says ".....enhanced by the rain and the autumn colours........." I was going to go but the weather forecast and the webcam views of brollies up and being blown inside out, and the drive up from Basingstoke put me off. I thought I'd made the right decision especially when I saw this morning's webcam views but then I saw your videos...............!!! Well Done.

Great line up of steam traction again on the NYMR what a pleasure to see some great video Mr Marsh, one section caught my eye at about 3 mins 09 seconds into the video is the state of most of those rail joints likely i would think to cause potential spring breakage on locomotives in particular ............. having worked on a preserved railway for many years when i was a young lad i`m only to aware of the workload put upon the volunteers so please don`t think i`m knocking the NYMR i`am not.

The engine bucking up and down the unlevel rails, the trees choking on the smoke. The ozone layer ripped open above north Yorkshire. No wonder trains are now electric. But give me a Deltic any day.

@ianballinger76445 жыл бұрын
I think diesel fumes are much more polluting than coal smoke............
@davidellis2794 жыл бұрын
40029. Get over yourself a badly maintained 37 can belch out just as much shit as any steam engine, anyway what's the point of us worrying about a bit of smoke when China still build coal fired Power Stations and burn hundreds of thousands of tons everyday, airliners use thousands of tons of Kerosene everyday, the list is endless and your worrying about a few Steam Engines, I suppose your one of the freaks that run an electric car or a Hybrid and convince yourself your saving the planet, Get a Grip.
@davidellis2794 жыл бұрын
Ian Ballinger. I think your wrong there, diesel Now contains hardly any sulfur where as coal is full of the stuff and it's the sulfur that causes the problem but as we all used coal to heat our homes and now we don't I wouldn't think a few steam engines will make any difference to the planet.
