A general theme from all the questions was to just do what you want and be honest about it, even if others don't f with it. Funny how tyler had to answer it like 5 times, but everyone's got the struggle of either being judged, or judging yourself too critically. Appreciate this interview~
@netzav34682 жыл бұрын
its crazy how being an observer you notice how many "obstacles" aren't really there, hearing Tylers pov about creating shows how easy it is. He just does it simply because he wants to and is satisfied with that and the rest of us over complicate it .

He really put myself into perspective and made me answer all my own questions about these doubts and about people judging me. Seeing how everyone in the crowd has ambitions and talents, yet fear is the biggest factor of not being able to create that world, really does suck cause it’s all of the fear of being judged. Imagine how many great things we haven’t seen yet because of being scared. This interview really made me say fuck it and for me to do what I want, what I love.

I love that Tyler is one of the few (prominent) artists breaking the same old verse-chorus/hook-verse-chorus-pre chorus-chorus structure. One of my FAVORITE things about, “Fascination Street,” by my #3 group, “The Cure,” is that track totally ditches that structure, AND they just let the most goosebump inducing parts ride, and soak it up, repeating (a lot like, “EARFQUAKE”). Meanwhile, my #1 artist (not saying they’re the best, but they are MY personal favorite), Linkin Park, have ALWAYS made incredible bridges and worked their ass off on bridges through their entire career… Think about their most popular song, “In The End,” the Bridge is what everyone in the audience belts out, and loses their mind to. And, it comes in so small, then the beat drops out, then they repeat the fuckin Bridge, but it EXPLODES in with POWER… There’s a lot of commonality Tyler as an individual shares with a lot of my favorite groups artists, quite honestly.
