I think Wukong didn’t bother interacting with the gang much cause they reminded him way too much of his old friends. He’s probably feels awkward about it and is hiding his feelings with his laziness so he doesn’t feel emotionally overwhelmed by the past.

7:38 did they forget that wukong didn't technically "take" his staff. It was given to him out of fear. Ao guang's wife wanted wukong out so she told her husband to do anything to get him out. So Ao guang gave him the staff out of fear and to get him out. Wukong didn't "steal" or "take" it, it was given to him. But.. whatever.

Nah, he did just take it. He didn't like anything they gave him so he just say the Ruyi Jingu Bang and grabbed it. The Dragon King really didn't want him to take it, but Wukong scared him into letting him take it after Wukong had already grabbed it. He did indeed just steal it.

30:30 wukong wasn't dragging them into his fights, at the end of season 2 wukong clearly said he wanted to do it alone but they INSISTED on fighting together. They knew what they were getting themselves into but nooooo, just blame wukong. Sure his plan wasn't the best but don't go on saying he drags you into "his" fights.. I'm just saying.. 🙄 or maybe just being biased 😅 but im not completely wrong..

Yeah I agree.If there's something similar between Wukong & MK,it's self-deprecation & hiding secrets until the last minute motivated by their sense of duty. These are my personal opinions,btw: When people blames Wukong endangering/dragging them to his fights,I personally disagree.His actual fault is that he's not a great team player: first,he wasn't patient to tolerate other players.Then it turns out he didn't have a decent plan.Season 4 proved that he could've asked others for their opinions,or atleast let them know what he has in mind. Another mistake I've seen people make is that they act like Wukong is genuinely malicious in this when it's the exact opposite: When he saw the ritual being started,he dropped the joking act immediately and rushed towards Mei.When he saw what happened to Mei,he didn't hesitate to drag Macaque back and was about to hit him out of pure rage.Mei having the fire reforged was Macaque's doing.If there's anyone who is using others to fulfill his goal,it's Macaque.If Wukong was endangering them on purpose,he would've took MK to LBD's lair despite seeing a vision of him being hurt and he wouldn't have the trait to hide things while he tries to fix them in the first place. It *is* a mistake alright,but not one born of maliciousness or intentionality.But I can see that Wukong sees it that way too,considering his past.
